Tony Romo's not giving up on Terry Glenn

Tony Romo might be the biggest Terry Glenn fan at Valley Ranch. Romo raved last month about the impact he thinks Glenn will make after pretty much missing all of last season with knee problems.

Glenn still hasn't stepped on the field, and he might never put on a Cowboys uniform again. There hasn't been any reports of progress in his contractual battle with the Cowboys, who want Glenn to agree to accept a $500,000 settlement if he suffers another season-ending knee injury.

Romo, who talked to Glenn last week, apparently isn't worried about all that.

"I'm still thinking Terry is going to be a part of it and he's going to be here," Romo said today. "Until that doesn't happen, I'm still going to think that way."

Romo also said he has no doubts that when Terry takes the field, he will provide a big boost to the offense.

I hope Glenn signs the waiver before Mini Camp begins.

Let's get him on the field and do some work so we all can see where he stands.

Glenn is dead weight...taking a key roster spot and dollars we could use elsewhere....cut him already.

We should have cut him before last season...very poor business management by the front office.

I still think this is Terry's best chance at getting paid. I don't blame him for wanting all of the money, but he's got a good chance at getting it anyway. I just see the team trying to protect themselves a little bit, and I can't blame them for that.

I still don't understand why Jerry is squabbling over 1.2 million (difference of the injury settlement and the full salary). That is a little more than one percent of the cap. Seems kind of silly to play hardball at this point, especially when your team kinda needs a legit number two receiver. I guess Jerry thinks there is a extremely high risk of injury and he has confidence on the other receivers on the roster. Seems foolish though.

Jerrah just gave Glenn 5.7 million this past season for nothing in return....why should he continue to give Glenn money for nothing.

No Way! Cut him...he is dead weight. Old, injured, and greedy -- bad combination.

And Romo is so positive about everything it is amazing. But in this case, he needs to come back to reality.

After seeing what Terry had last year, I just can't see him helping us much this year.

You saw what Terry had last year?

Good, because I didn't - he played in like five snaps.

4 snaps and he wasn't healthy. That told you what?

After getting almost $6mil from JJ last year for rehabbing, I cannot believe Terry is griping over possibly getting ANOTHER $500k for basically nothing (if he re-injures his knee). Jones showed him some love last year by paying him so Glenn should return the favor this year. Besides, if he's so confident he can play then this waiver won't even come into effect so that tells me he may not be so sure he can make it through the season!
