I don't think he's capable.

As we've all discussed a million times, this is something we definitely need to do.
Also said getting rid of some so-called star players would be on the table, as everything would be.
To his credit, he said he didn't even want to talk about Super Bowl when we just lost 44-6. Are you listening, Jerry?
dbair1967;2536428 said:exactly, so why have him here...get someone who is capable of doing something other than being the doughnut go-fer for Wade and Jerruh

It should, but for whatever reason Barber turned into a fumbler this yr, and the OL cant sustain blocks long enough to gain positive yds often enough to continue running

It's a necessity now, because we cant win with the way the QB is playing. He cannot be the focal point of the offense any longer, not until he improves his ability to read defenses, starts throwing the ball accurately again and avoiding those painfully stupid turnovers...

A few guys are going to leave via free agency, but other than them letting Roy Williams go (38, who had absolutely zero to do with this yrs debacle anyway) I dont see who else he could be referring to.

I cant give him credit for anything right now. Had he resigned because he did such a lousy job this yr (and especially the last two games) then I'd have given him credit for that.

Are you watching a different team? We've run the ball very well lately. We were stuffing it down the Ravens throat, then our idiot coordinator calls a bootleg out of a 2 TE set with both receivers running deep routes against a defense that was play 30 yards deep the entire drive.dbair1967;2536467 said:they usually abandon it because they dont gain positive yds on enough plays...if you constantly run the ball for 1 yd or a loss on first down, its tough to stick with it
Mash;2536264 said:I like Wade...I do too, but more as a DC. Don't think he can win the brass ring as HC (anytime soon anyway) w/out an authoritative figure directly above him. He needs a "bad guy" to his "good guy", maybe in a similar role that Parcells has in Miami.
We had a task master and he didnt do any better...
Parcells did not, but Jimmy did.
Now we have a coach that is ho hum....
Dungy ho-hum is different from Wade ho-hum, just saying. Discipline, and accountability, is the crucial variable.
Players need to be accountable....so do the assistants. Agreed, on both.
IMHO Houch wont be back and I hope the ST coach wont either.
Agree wholeheartedly with Read, not so much on Houck. Sparano sucked his first year as OL coach for this team too. Now he is considered a God around here. Think of the available options first before doing something so hasty. Houck is proven, I say give him another year.
Romo needs rededicate himself to football again.....his hunger is gone and yesterday he played scared. I can agree to this, but he needs more discipline moreso than "hunger" IMO. Perhaps a better QB coach to get in his ear_like Lee (now w/Miami) did early in his career. Wade Wilson has been a failure everywhere he's been.
lets hope he does it.....if not...
Romo = Scott Mitchell.

I think the reason I see for this happening is because Barber like to keep the play going and invites contact instead of just going down. This is probably along with a high number of carries is the reason he got injured.dbair1967;2536453 said:It should, but for whatever reason Barber turned into a fumbler this yr, and the OL cant sustain blocks long enough to gain positive yds often enough to continue running
Flozell, Pacman, Tank, Barber via trade, T.O. maybe?dbair1967;2536453 said:A few guys are going to leave via free agency, but other than them letting Roy Williams go (38, who had absolutely zero to do with this yrs debacle anyway) I dont see who else he could be referring to.

We need a guy that knows Wade's scheme and can continue to teach it, not call plays. Stewart seems perfect for that role.
