Wade Phillips opened his press conference today by basically thanking Greg Ellis for being a good guy during their two years together at Valley Ranch.


"We all appreciated what he did for this team and this organization for the years he was here certainly," Phillips said. "My experience with Greg, he was a great professional.
It's not the end of his career, but we enjoyed having him here in Dallas and he had his best years here the last two years, I believe. He made the Pro Bowl two years ago, so I just want to say we appreciate everything he did both on the field and off the field. He's a great example for any player on how you act and how you do things."

Wouldn't go that far. But Wade is notorious for being rather hyperbolic with his accolades.

Greg was a heck of a player for us.
