For the first time this season, the Cowboys look like a playoff caliber team. They got strong performances on both sides of the ball and special teams.
They made big plays, forced turnovers and controled the line of scrimmage. it was a complete performance against a formidable opponent.

Now comes the hard part: Getting on a roll, sustaining that high level of play. That's important for a team that posted consecutive wins for the first time in nine games, dating to last season.

"The difference in 4-2 and 3-3 is a big difference,'' coach Wade Phillips said. "I thought it was an important game for us. I think the statement was we're playing a good football team and we played well and we beat them by a pretty good margin.

"You've got to keep working at it. We lost two real close games we felt like we could have won, but now we've won a couple in a row and you want to get on a roll. That's the big thing, If you can get on a roll with a team, win several in a row, it just boosts your confidence. It helps your team mentally.

"Them feeling good about each other, believing in each other, being accountable to each other, all those things you preach, they're more solid when you're winning, and we've got to continue doing that,'' Phillips said.
