The wildcat is so stupid. Why would you ever take Tony out to run the wildcat.

By the time Dallas runs it, the rest of the league will have it figured out.

Screw the wildcat

Agreed, the Arkansas huckster likes it though. Either that or it's some stupid misdirection play in terms of our draft choices.

I know I am in the minority here but I would like to see Choice start and Barber brought in late to seal the other teams fate.

I would use Felix very similar to how the Chargers use Sproles - returns, screan passes, change of pace, etc...

We are very fortunate to have these three studs in the backfield.

Agreed. Choice would be good for the first few drives to loosen up a defense. 5-8 carries a game.

Felix is a straight all around package guy. Get him touches be in rushing or receiving. 5-8 carries a game.

Barber is still our guy. He is physical, and if he goes back to his roots and stops dancing so much trying to get outside, is one of the best backs in the league. 10-20 carries per game.

Then we add in play-action and the 2TE sets, and we are looking at a very potent offense. You dont need to spread the field to have an explosive offense. We will see this next year.

I want to see Barber back in the closer's role too

Funny that I argued for months that he was best in that role and people straight out called me an idiotic Julius Jones loving moron.

Given JG's mental lapses with the running game, I'll be happy if one tailback gets involved on the offense.

I totally agree, sometimes JG is too smart for his own good. He will lose patience and start throwing the ball every down if we're down at any point in the game. I watched the nfl classics video from the vault on dc.com about the season opener against the skins. The key to coming back in that game was they didn't abandon the run even though they were down by 21 in the 4th quarter. At the end of the clip you see JG jumping up and down hugging Troy. He should always remember that game and never stop running the ball.

Given the talent in the backfield I fully expect that Dallas will run the ball more and will show a lot more balance on offense. I think one thing we will have to improve on through is stupid penalties. It is hard to run the ball when you are facing 2nd/3rd and long situation as we have for the last few years.

Barber should start. He has earned that and is being paid like the starter. However, after that first series, he should mostly see time on 2nd or 3rd and short and when the team is inside the 10 yardline. That way he can be fresh in the 4th quarter and get back to being the barbarian. Let Choice and Jones get their carries during the game with Jones also catching 5-6 swing/screen passes.

Exactly.

Hmm...I love it.

We have three running backs that could start anywhere...Choice included. Can't wait.

You are exactly right, penalties will kill you in a run oriented offense. Also it is easy to get discouraged especially against good defenses. But at least we have the potential to be a ball control type attack, with quick strike ability when needed.

It means nothing unless the team decides to play disciplined football. The release of TO and RW should have the players attention, hopefully we stay healthy and find some help in the draft.

MUSIC TO MY 28-YEAR OLD EARS! MBIII, Felix and TC need to be on the field as often as possible. They are all playmakers!

Hence, IMO, the real reason they wanted Dan Reeves here...to help establish the running game and keep JG in check if he starts getting too pass happy. I think we seen that happen when we lost Sporano and I think he played a big part in keeping the running game going. But again that is just my opinion.

I concur. Totally stoked that Wade finally figured out this teams strength....
Wade figured this out long ago and alluded to it throughout the season, especially at the end when he said it prevents TOs. He even brought in Dan Reeves with the objective in mind. The prbolem is, he isn't the OC nor did he have any real input in it.Jason Garrett, the real issue here, started to get slammed even by the media for ignoring the running game. The idea that we need to run the ball isn't something revolutionary to this team. Let us hope Garrett figured it out...

I would keep feeding Felix the ball until he proves that he can't break a long TD every-other drive. Seriously, the guy had no limits last year. He is just too dangerous to be only used sparingly. He really needs to have as many opportunities as possible. It's all about making the team the best that it can be. Throw all the "fairness" out of the window.

Actually, many have expressed similar sentiments. Choice looks like a complete back, jones is dynamic/explosive, and barber can punish you. We have many weapons and need to use them all.

You're preaching to the choir bud. We all know who really needs to get a clue of it, no sense in beating maggots off the remains of what was once a dead horse...

I hate that man right now... His stupid grin just pisses me off.... I'll admit, I'll start to like it if he steps up his game. Winning cures everything.
