Where's Jason Witten?

That's one of the first things the opposing defense has to figure out before each play.

Jason Witten isn't just arguably the game's best all-around tight end. As Tony Romo said last week, "He's good wherever he is."

And the Cowboys move him all over the place. His versatility creates mismatches in the passing game, for himself and the wide receivers. And he's often moved around to put him in position to throw key blocks on running plays.

I counted 10 different ways Witten lined up during Sunday's win over the Browns, and several of these have variations. For example, when he's in the slot, the Cowboys could have one receiver to his outside or he might be in the middle receiver in a bunch. Here, by my unofficial count, is the breakdown on where Witten lined up:

Left TE -- 7 snaps
Right TE -- 19
Left TE (stand up) -- 1
Left slot -- 6
Right slot -- 10
Right wing -- 5
Left wing -- 2
Fullback in offset I -- 4
H-back in motion -- 14
Left RB in two-back shotgun -- 2

No wonder he always has so many motion penalties....

I honestly expect Monday night to be a HUGE night for Witten. While the new corners are putting all their attention on stopping TO, and slowing down Crayton, I think Witten is going to find himself in some really good match ups that favor him.

Also, for some reason, I have a good feeling that Monday night could be a coming out party, of sorts, for Felix Jones in the recieving game, to go along with some nice stuff in the run game.

That means Jason played *70* offensive snaps?

That is pretty good considering Dallas ran 63 offensive plays(31 rushes, 32 passes).

Maybe the other snaps were when they were penalized.

Does the 63 include plays nullified by penalty? If it doesn't that makes 71 plays including the 8 offensive penalties.

Crayton is the one who will have the huge night. I'm sure the Eagles will key on Witten and try to get Samuel man up on T.O. with maybe a safety over the top.
