Don't like the fact of spending a 1st on a 1 tech or a rotational 3 tech. We have a starter at the 3. I would rather get a player there that will have more of an impact
The second 3tech will be near starter reps. They want two 3tech types in the Nickel which is about 50% of the snaps.
Ideally they would like to have most of the snaps to go to a 3 man rotation with one 1tech and two 3techs in that rotation. The 4th DT is likely to be more of a backup that only gets a handful of snaps.
But that's not true. Melton didn't get near the snaps as Crawford. They want a rotation but the #2 doesn't get near as many
That was specific to Melton. He said himself that he needed limited snaps. But that's not true. Melton didn't get near the snaps as Crawford. They want a rotation but the #2 doesn't get near as many
They thought Melton slacked on run defense and playing within the scheme in an effort to get more sacks to reach incentives.I agree with Walker, Melton fell into the doghouse near the end of the season, not sure why but he clearly was on his way out. I am fine with Goldman and Bennett as a pick, although with Murray heading to the eagles. Amazing how the fans are letting Stephen Jones off the hook, a signing back in 2014 for both Dez and Demarco would of really helped.

Ok so to my point drafting a player 1st round to just play limited snaps is stupid.
My point is that if Marinelli had the ideal players in an 80 snap game:
3tech-1, 60 snaps, 75%
3tech-2, 60 snaps, 75%
1tech, 40 snaps, 50%
Some of those would be reduced to get the 4th guy about 20 snaps.
If (I know big if) half of the injured, redshirted and such players make it back, where would that put our greatest need. Would that change who you would you pick here . Just a question because I was thinging we had several strong possibilities on ir .
