Big, strong, and fast are the best words to describe Miles. This guys is built like a FS. In stating the obvious Miles size would attract anyone from a football perspective. Miles also uses this to his advantage. He does not get held up at the line often and for this reason I would call Miles the more physical of the bunch. He just does not allow defenders to get their hands on him.

The #3 spot would be good for Miles because often times he will draw the match up of a linebacker or safety. This would allow him to use his frame to help him get open. His frame also allows him to be a more effective blocker when called apon. Miles has enough juice where he can go outside to the X or Z position and run a go route. This is where Miles could have a huge advantage.

Again the factor that comes into play is special teams. With Miles being heavily involved in the special teams mix, I can also vouch for his toughness. He is also a good return man. What makes him good but not great is his ability to make the kicker miss (or lack thereof). We joke about this all the time so it's no big secret, so don't try and turn this into something it's not (Haters). Bottom line Miles can play special teams so if he is not the #3 he will be playing KOR.

I Will Stanback

Might be the most complete of the 3 young guys. With that being said he is also the most under developed. He has only been and NFL receiver for 10 months or so. Remember last year he didn't come back until late in camp so he has a lot to learn. As we all know the younger brother is the one you have to watch out for.

With Stanback having most of last season to learn from other people's mistake, this should make him very dangerous. This sequence gives him time to develop and not be rushed into things. So now with almost a year under his belt and two of the best to learn from, my guess would be he is the ace in the hole. By the end of the season I would be very shocked if this guy does not have the attention of some defensive backs. I can't forget his is also a heck of a kick returner.

That's the best review of Stanback I've heard to date. I hope Burnett is a better scout than he is a linebacker. :D

In that video of Wade and Sham that theebs posted, there were a lot of practice shots and even in that little bit, I thought Stanback looked great. He seems to catch the ball naturally and has that burst once he gets it.

(BTW, other cool ones were Newman in a drill shadowing the WR, and Carpenter breaking up a pass on the sideline.)

Back to WR, other teams develop mid and late picks who become good players... I don't see why that can't happen here. Not every good player comes from a "Wow" trade or draft pick.

I think Burnette played well last year in his role and is important to the team. Its good to have a good rotation and he can play.

I love what I hear about Austin and Stanback. We may have to be more patient that some of us would like with Stanback. From the little that I have seen of him, I think he can be a dangerous weapon for us. Once he learns the details of the position. I have always liked Austin because he seems to always be running free in the secondary. I know he has to catch the ball, but I am willing to give him another chance. They both have a lot of ability. And Hurd is already solid. Unless we were getting Roy Williams or Bolden, I was against us drafting a receiver and am glad we didn't. That doesn't mean that I think all of these guys will pan out. Its just that we have been working with them and we should at least see if the work has paid off.
