You want to know what I said to #27 from the team up north. I simply said "you can't run me over from your back, can you". You would think it would have been more than that for 5g's, but it wasn't. No colorful words, no mama talk, just a simple question, it wasn't the question that got me in trouble. It was the gesture (me standing over him) that got me the infamous FED- EX. When you get one you know your out of some money. Thats what I said no more no less.

With high school athletes getting bigger, stronger, and faster and constantly raising the bar of performance. Do you think the high school football players should have to wait three years before entering into the NFL draft?

Yes I do believe that high school kids are not ready for the NFL although I do think some freshmen would have been better off leaving. Maurice Clarett (right) is a great example of a player who felt he was ready and was never heard of after his freshmen year for whatever reason (I'm not bashing him).

If a player feels he is ready let him GO. I do think players need to listen to wise counsel however for players like Jamal Lewis and Hershal Walker guys who could have went pro after their first season. What do you think?

It is more than just the physical part of the game that these young kids would have to deal with (not to minimize the physical; competing with grown men who have been in physical training most of their lives) -- the maturity to handle the emotional, financial, responsibility, self discipline, and respect would be a lot for an 18 or 19 year old.

Unfortunately many or not even ready after three years of college. NFL teams would have to create even more extensive services to help young athletes cope.

There is a huge difference in the strength in an eighteen year old and a 25 yo. That is not just weight room stuff but physiologic. Baseball players and basketball players do not have to have the strength that football players do in order to do well in general altho there are exceptions of course. And there are certainly problems with maturity that also come into play although these are much the same in all sports.
