Preseason Games

First things first player salaries are not part of the preseason so, as far as players missing a pay check I think it's a no brainier to cut preseason games. I'm not for or against cutting games but you hear a lot of contra verse around the league. I think within the next few years preseason games will be cut.
You guys bring up a good point that has not received a lot of attention. Owners do make money in some cases but I don't believe they go to far past breaking even in the preseason. For the simple fact that Jerry is renting the stadium and preseason games don't sell out. I could be wrong with this but if any revenue is made from preseason games its's not close to what a regular season game makes.. Now the old saying goes "some money is better than not money" but if that preseason game could cost you a high dollar player for the year, than that's a steep price to pay. I do think the two-preseason games with an organized scrimmage could work but who knows what will happen next year.
No way will a 17 game be added. The season is already 6 months long plus playoffs adding another game is out of the question from players stand point. I do believe it's possible but highly unlikely.
As for me I'm feeling better daily just playing the waiting game making sure everything sound before getting back onto the gridiron. Knee surgeries are tricky and take time to come back from. Sure I would like to be ready for the first game however, I don't know what the future holds.
What do you say about Jerry going after Boldin?
