Whats the big deal about a bruise? Its football.Jeez.

deep though bruises are extremely painful and its difficult to do much with them after it happens...I was at the Dallas-Atlanta game in 1993 when Emmitt went down early, it looked so bad and he was in so much pain, we all assumed he had broken his leg. He ended up missing the rest of that game and the next one.

it happened on the opening kickoff I believe, he took a big hit

Hey, I'm just glad Choice stepped in and did a good job. He impressed me.

Emmitt played the next game but he was hardly himself. That was the Leon Lett Thanksgiving fiasco.

Does anyone think there's anyone that played in the game that doesn't have a bruise on their thigh or some other body part? If he is going to return kicks and play a significant role in the offense, he'd better get over letting a bruise affect his play/time on the field.

It's clear to me that you have never had a deep thigh bruise.

Yeah, but he was kicked in the head .

That's gotta count for something.

where was felix jones and Bennett yesterday, i thought they were going to be a main focus. I still don't think they are getting Felix enough touches.

David Moore: As Derrick mentioned earlier in the chat, Bennett had a bigger impact than his one reception indicates because of the match-up issues he created. He did mis-fire with Romo on a potential touchdown. Bennett joked about that with Romo after the game, telling him if you have Shaquille O'Neal on the break, do you want to give him a bounce pass or a lob?

Jones had only six carries Sunday and failed to catch a pass. He was a bigger part of the Cowboys game plan, but he suffered a thigh bruise early in the game and it limited his effectiveness. Some of those third downs that put Tashard Choice on the field were designed for Jones.

 This guy... Look.. No agenda.. Just straight talk. Yes, I love me some TChoice... but I also recognize the explosiveness of Felix. This guy has got to stay healthy though. Period... Geez.

If the muscle is damaged bad enough and it bleeds into itself, you can get something called myositis ossicans. Basically, during the healing process you make some bone fragments in your muscle tissue and it can be really painful and debilitating. It's not that uncommon after having a quadricept muscle tear. I'm not sure if the same can happen with just a bad bruise, but it is plausible. Hope he's ok.

Felix Jones is certainly on his way to earning the "injury prone" label. What is that 7 NFL games and 2 injuries....not good. We will see how serious this latest injury really is over the next few weeks.

If you can't stay healthy and/or play through pain then your success will be greatly limited in the NFL.

McNabb is injury prone and has had a HOF career, so don't worry about a bruise.

If anything, I like the idea to hold him out. With Barber and Choice, why risk anything else. We'll need all three all year, so the healthier they stay the better.

Ballers on here know how serious this can be. It's like getting hit with a ball bat in the thigh when a guy lays lumber with his helmet or even gets a good shoulder pad into your thigh: that's why I can't imagine.....FOR THE LIFE OF ME.........why RW doesn't wear thigh pads........................yikes.

hate to say it but your right....productivity is great
but longevity is what makes Rb's even greater and more
valuable...if FeliX misses any full games this year, he will surely be
labled injury prone. If you can't stay healthy in the NFL and suck it up, then your no use to any team....

Its not like Felix was injured all the time in college, last season was a fluke. But leave it to the chicken littles ....
