I was wondering what this was all about, cuz every media report on twitter made it out to be some big thing. Well, except for Tim MacMahon who just said Dez was rambling. lol

"You know what the greatest thing about tonight was?" Bryant asked. "I got to close it out. I got to close it out, Man. Dagger. And shout to that lady. And I really hope she sees this. Cause I'm going straight to Twitter after I get dressed."

Love the fire...:starspin:

Dez Bryant isn't known as a player who needs help motivating himself. But a Saints fan earlier in the week inadvertently stoked the fire the Cowboys receiver had going into Sunday night's game at AT&T Stadium between Dallas and New Orleans.

I was at the game and - wow, I'd put Saints fans in the same "class" as classes Philly and Giants fans. Getting off to a quick start shut them up and after the touchdown to start the third quarter, they were streaming out in droves.

By the way, harassing a player, any player, while he's trying to get a meal is ridiculous tasteless.

I like his competitive fire, but getting irritated by rival fans can be a psychological vulnerability.

Yes it can be but it is also rude to basically heckle a player especially in the environment that has been built by the NFL. My guess is she was hoping to get a reaction maybe get him suspended with the NFLs Zero tolerance Policy

Its bit surprising Dez would let something small like that really get to him. I do hope he can stop sweating small things and focus on keeping his mind right thru whole season.

Dez can't do anything right. He doesn't say anything to the woman, shows restraint, and he is wrong for sharing his feelings? I don't blame athletes for not wanting to talk to the media. He is being criticised for how most of us would have felt. All of us have probably worked a job before where someone was unnecessarily disrespectful and we had some thought that we would do something if it wasn't for professionalism. This is no different. He didn't DO anything.

Can we at least keep homefield advantage at restaurants? Throw the lady out if she is going to chirp at our players.

I can not imagine a Patriot player .... With his family, no less... Getting harnessed by a visiting team's fan in a local restaurant. The environment would be less than conducive to the opposing fan's behavior.

There was some sports athlete who once said something to the effect of, "If you let your emotions show in a game, you are vulnerable, because then your opponent knows when he has you frustrated or impatient."

I think the same thing applies to situations off the field as well. It simply is not worth it to let a rival fan get under your skin if you are a player. I am a big fan of athletes who simply, coldly, never let any heckling ever get to them.
