I honestly dont see how we dont get the number 1 pick. We got some tough teams coming up, plus Cassels weak arm going in December is not a good mix.

Cassel's weak arm wouldn't be a problem if this staff had a system, NE got 10 wins out of Cassel because they have one.

Anyone else a little annoyed that we're likely going to win a couple meaningless games and screw up our draft position?

interesting. Jason might actually be judged on a performance basis for the 2nd time in his career. It will be interesting to see if he tries to risk winning a game or two.

Unfortunately I think JG has several ready made excuses and won't be held accountable.
I hope I am wrong

Remember the 1988 race to the toilet between the Packers and the Cowboys?

They were the worst two teams in the NFL and Packers had a lock on the 1st pick overall until the last game when the Packers won a meaningless game against Arizona (I think) on the last week of the season.

The result was that the Cowboys moved up to the #1 pick overall and took Aikman. The Packers dropped to 2nd overall and took Mandarich....

If the Cowboys are going to blow for the next 5 game they should do it right and REALLY blow...

As of right now I'm a big fan of:

San Francisco.

Cleveland, Tennessee, San Diego... can't see any of those clubs taking a QB in round 1... but of course it would be gravy if they all ended up with better records than Dallas.

I can see Cleveland looking at QB early along with SF.

Tony just didn't look right from the opening gun. He seemed listless, even after throwing interceptions. No fire. I wonder if that shoulder wasn't already bothering him even before he landed on it.

I think it was too much pain medication. He looked like he was going to pass out while pouring water over his head. He was not right, looked drunk(too much pain meds) and wobbling a lot. Even some of his throws looked really weird.

Taking one two out of three years in the first round... I just don't think they would dare... their fan-base is already beside themselves.

And then you have the Weeden pick like what 4 years ago?

Nah, can't see them picking another QB in round 1.

I'm on board with this.

Get as high a selection as you can... get the weaker schedule for next year... be first in the waiver wire conga line.

I'd be shocked if Jerry did. Owners like him don't care what the fan base cares about. He sells tickets no matter what he does.

I get your frustration, but I think they could very well select a QB in round 1.

I hope your right but the excuses are real. Romo was injured. I would bet what we here at the stat of next season is Romo is in better health than ever............Oh wait.

Even if Romo were healthy enough to play next week, there's no reason to play him again this season. Pretty easy decision.
