IRVING — Dallas Cowboys rookie linebacker DeVonte Holloman isn’t likely to play Sunday at the New York Giants. He missed his second consecutive day of practice Friday.

Holloman was one of three Cowboys linebackers who weren’t on the practice field Friday at Valley Ranch. Holloman has been recovering from a spine contusion. Starters Sean Lee and Justin Durant are out the next three weeks with hamstring injuries.

Wide receiver Dez Bryant and rookie cornerback B.W. Webb wore short sleeves and shorts at practice Friday despite the cold weather

Holloman's injury is puzzling. It originally occurred during a practice and he later said he didn't think it was a big deal until the doctors told him he couldn't play. Hope it isn't career threatening.

I wanted to see holloway. I've got high hopes for him.

I like that dez wore short sleeves. That means he was constantly up moving/running to stay warm. Rather than just going through the motions.

Spinal contusions are never minor are they? Jeremichael FInley's just knocked him out for the season and looks to have a 50/50 chance of ending his career.
