With so many here thinking Philly is in free fall mode with some of the moves they've made signing Murray away from the Cowboys would make the McCoy trade look brilliant. Not only will signing Murray replace McCoy but Philly will be taking away the Cowboys MVP from the 2014 season and adding him to their arsenal. What a huge blow that would be to the Cowboys and their fan base. Anytime a team can take away one of the best players from a rival and add them to their team that could lead to a shift in power. We saw in the 90's what happened when Deion was a 49er and became a Cowboy the following season it resulted in a power shift. I mentioned a few days ago after Philly swapped McCoy for Alonso that Kelly would love nothing better than to take Murray away from the Cowboys.
If Alonso can return to the form he showed as a rookie in Buffalo Philly could potentially have a great young LB and a back comparable to the one they traded to get him. You have to figure almost 2 days into free agency that Murray is very close to making a decision let's all hope if the Cowboys can't retain him that he doesn't sign with Philly. Having him come back to haunt the Cowboys in 2015 twice during the season as an Eagle doing for them what he did so very well for the Cowboys in 2014 would be a very hard pill to swallow. It might be worth going the extra mile to get him signed if it's between us and Philly. It won't be that hard to accept if Murray ends up outside the division but PLEASE not Philly that would be a nightmare!
When was Murray #28
yeah. that would be the worst case scenario. Those 2 games will break all kinds of rating records too.....
Some say Philly is in disarray. But who really knows...,,? We wont until the season starts.
And you know Murray will want to put up as many yards as he can.....
That would be an exciting game to watch....thats for sure.
I am pro Murray. I think people are underrating him. He isnt flashy. He isnt a speed demon. But he runs through tackles and dives forward and keeps his legs moving and picks up yards. He is always picking up yards. 1845 yards just last year, to be exact.
You know how he runs through tackles. It's because he constantly goes untouched past the line of scrimmage.
true enough. But he shouldn't be penalized for that!
When he does make contact , he doesn't go down easily and has usually gets 3-5 more yards after contact. Using power, and stiff arm.
He makes some great cuts too, imho.
He does struggle in open space. He doesn't have that second gear. Its just not there.
He is a Power Back though. And a pretty good one.
Link to murray highlights below. After its done the next video up is 1978 Falcons at Cowboys playoff game. I remember this game! I was wasl ike 9 ....
I'm shocked the Eagles are interested. Why let go of McCoy if you're willing to pay big for a RB?
It’s unclear how much Philadelphia will be willing to pay since it signed Ryan Mathews to a three-year, $11.5 million contract earlier in the day and also has Darren Sproles on the roster. But if the Cowboys don’t want to lose Murray to a division rival, it’s clear they must exceed their previous offers.

Exactly.......
And having already paid Matthews to boot. This is all a stupid Chip Kelly ploy to waste the Cowboys time and drive up the price on Murray.
He's not gonna sign......
and if he does....Then it just goes to show the Eagles are flying by the seat of their pants and have zero plan going forward.
I think of Kelly behind closed doors and all I can see is this.....
I'm pulling my offer at this point. It's obvious he's just playing games trying to drive up his asking price. He wants the Raiders and Jags involved because they have cap space, but he doesn't want to play in either place. And now he's traveling to a division rival as a threat to drive it up. I 'Call'. I'm bringing in CJ Spiller and talking to the Vikings about a trade for Peterson. I'll give them a 2016 draft pick.
Have fun in a platoon in Philadelphia with no receivers taking the pressure off of the running game.

Would love to see Randle, Williams, Dunbar combine for 2,000+ yards to show all these divas they're replaceable.
