Why would anyone want to retire a Cowboy?
Because he spent his peak years with this franchise and he is the all time sack leader. He was also the face of the Cowboys for the better part of his career...he is simply a part of a team that was already Super Bowl caliber before he signed.
Regardless, I think he comes back home once he retires. He probably agreed to that much when he left. Remember, we did Ware a favor by letting him go. We could've held him hostage for a paycut, we could've traded him even. He requested to be released and we fulfilled his request even though he was under contract so we had all of the leverage. He was so thankful that the franchise treated him the right way that he refused to take calls from any other NFCE teams even though reports were that all 3 were interested.
Regardless, he is likely to be a cap casualty this season so chances are, unless he takes a major paycut, he will join his 3rd team unless he signs back with us. Do you retire with the team you broke records for, the team that drafted you and you spent close to a decade with or do you retire with the team you signed for to get a cheap ring that you spent two years with?
