If you pick him up for a low pick and then get him past his addiction problems you might be on to something but this can't be our post-Romo bet. It's way too risky!

Trade a pick for Manzeil, still draft a quarterback by the end of the 3rd.

This is a weird predictament we are in because we have a starter set for at least two seasons. We need a backup but don't you want some experience behind Romo? The team will have to tackle the quarterback position before the draft and I personally do not want a top 5 pick playing 3rd string.

If they get him for a low draft pick, and still draft a qb, I wouldn't have an issue with bringing him in. He's still probably a back up qb at best though

I'm fine with it if he comes cheap, but yeah, only as insurance. Draft a quarterback.

The thing is even if he proved to be a good starting QB that you could never relax with him as a starter... not with the addiction issues. He could be fine today and into rehab tomorrow or subject to a league suspension.

No, I wouldn't want to see that.

If any team is right for him we are. We have the structure in place to help keep him out of trouble until maturity takes over. He can learn and MATURE on the bench.

If we trade for him and draft Lynch or Goff he is a 3rd stringer in 2016

We won't be drafting either one of those players. Stephen Jones has subliminally already told the fa base. The backup quarterback position will be addressed before the draft with a veteran but I suspect we draft a developmental prospect as well in the second or third round.

I wouldn't take him if for a 7th round pick and he would pay for free. The only person who wanted him was Jerry, I don't see how that scenario has changed. This is not a situation where talent out weights the trouble, just draft a guy and let him sit and learn.

JM is not a championship caliber starting QB in the NFL and brings a circus with him

If Jerry brings him in, it just tells me that jerry has given up trying to win and just wants to hold out for the gratuitous if negative publicity

please let's not waste our time with this idiot

I'd give a 5th or 6th for Manziel. We haven't got much from those picks anyhow. Not a Manziel fan but we would have won us more games than our other backups did.

We still pick a QB but not in the first or second round. We use the first two picks on best players available we have a lot of holes.

Manziel solves a short term problem and buys us time to worry about long term. For cheap.

I'm sure he'd love to be in Dallas. Those SMU and TCU chicks would probably go gaga for him as he's jumping off the 2nd floor patio of the local SAE frat house during their spring mixers.

The dudes been complete self entitled since his inception, since he was driving around A&M in a 100,000$ car partying more often than not, and since he's been in the NFL. He's never going to get it together.
