Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz didn’t get a chance to play against the Cowboys in either of the team’s meetings in 2014 as he recovered from a torn patellar tendon.
That doesn’t mean he’s grown any fonder of his NFC East foe.
In an interview with Complex Magazine, Cruz was asked to do a simple word association. When the Cowboys were brought up, he had this response:
“Enemies.”
It doesn’t appear Dallas is in his doghouse as much as another team in the division, as the mention of “Eagles” elicited the response of “bigger enemies,” but you can be sure the Super Bowl winning receiver is ready to face the NFC East favorite Cowboys for the first time since Nov. 11, 2013. He also referred to Washington as “respectable enemies.”
Dallas might have come a few wins from a Super Bowl this year, but Cruz didn’t seem impressed with Tony Romo’s championship guarantee to Duke freshman Jahlil Okafor.
“Nah, no comments on that. [Laughs.] That’s irrelevant.”
