Injuries will play a role in who suits up obviously. Looks like they will carry 4 RBs and ??? no FB this year. TBD.
I don't think they'd be trying a LB and a RB at FB if they had no plans to have a FB on the roster.
When you get down on the goal line and in short yardage, the FB becomes critical unless you have an excellent HB who can operate as a FB. One blitzer or missed block dooms a play in short yardage without a FB.
They are going to need Tapper and Collins to come up with a minimum 10-12 sacks between them as rookies.

JMO but there is a 0 % chance of that happening but I sure wish it would.
Agreed.
Who the hell expects a 3rd round DT and 4th round DE to combine for 10+ sacks as rookies?
That would be asking for too much even with a 1st and 2nd combination of players.
Maybe a rookie surprises, we'd all love to see it, but I doubt we're expecting or depending on that kind of immediate production from any newb.
I'm hoping DeMarcus Lawrence continues where he left off last season.
The jump needs to come from Randy Gregory playing the all important RDE position and Tyrone Crawford playing UT with both arms working.
Those are the money spots in this defensive scheme.
FWIW, Charles Haley was a 4th round pick in 1986 and had 12 sacks his rookie season. How he made it to the 4th round is still beyond me, but just sayin'...

I'd like to know the number of plays a fullback was used the last couple of years and how effective they were from that set. It seems like a wasted roster spot to me and I feel a backup from another position should be able to be coached up to perform there. Especially, in what seems like limited plays.
Unfortunately, Haley was the exception rather than the rule.
Actually, there have been tons of good pass rushers drafted in the late rounds in NFL history.
Are you trying to say that there are better pass rushers in history of NFL after the first 3 rounds than before? If not then those successful pass rushers taken late aRe still the exception and not the rule.
There is a reason why teams covet their early round picks, the talent is better and the bust rate is lower.
Defensive lineman seem to come from all parts of the draft.
Michael Bennett, Jay Ratliff, Geno Atkins, Greg Hardy, Elvis Dumervil, Robert Mathis, Jared Allen....
They're not uncommon.
