"Anyway, we caught up with Randy Gregory on Wednesday. When I walked in the locker room, he was packing his stuff up, kind of quickly getting out of there, didn't want to talk, and he was asked if he had heard anything yet on how the appeal went, basically, and if he had heard any kind of result from the NFL and he said, 'I know nothing.' So, he's basically saying he hasn't heard anything and he's waiting to hear as well. The bottom line here with this Gregory situation is: The NFL is going to make a ruling on Gregory before the Cowboys' playoff game. They're not going to let this thing play out with the appeal process going through. It does take a long time usually for some of this stuff to go through the process, but once you have the appeal, the NFL usually makes a ruling pretty quickly, and they're not going to allow Randy Gregory to play without making a ruling one way or the other. It's unlikely for him to win an appeal. Most players always lose these kind of appeals because the bottom line is: He missed a drug test in November. There's really no good excuse for missing a drug test, so it's going to be hard for him to win this appeal."
