Its rather easily seen when a QB does not have the zip he once had. Don't need covered receivers or anything like that. Anyone with two eyes and familiar with his past ability can tell. We are not talking rocket science here.
Nobody suggested it was rocket science. What I tried to impart is that it remains to be seen if his back will hold up or if Witten is simply giving him a better opinion than will prove to be the case. His best friend isn't likely to say he's lost a little something, is he? Romo's condition won't be completely obvious until he's gone through a complete season without a repeat of his back problems. Throwing under relaxed conditions and throwing in games are two different things. You're right, it isn't rocket science -- it's more like common sense.
Jason Witten is his best friend right? So he's never going to say anything bad about Tony.
I'm sure though if there was a problem someone else would say so with all the people probably watching him.
“I think just the will that guy has — it’s at the top of the list of the players I’ve seen. Like I said, we know what people are going to say. But I think for us and for him it’s just go out there and get better and kind of perfect that craft so when you get to the chance, you take advantage of those opportunities. He looks good.”
Red flag. Who are you trying to convince Jason?
Did you hear Witten say this last year?
I don't know what he said last year. Why?
He didn't say anything. That's the point.
“He is throwing good.”

It means nothing. What else did we expect his best friend to say?
It means that he's throwing with some velocity whether his best friend said it or not and we can all agree that's a good thing. It also means snarky remarks will always be challenged with some simple common sense and optimism about our QBs future.
So...it means something.
It's the preseason. Everyone's in "the best shape of my life". Everyone's been doing yoga/karate/dance/sumo and it's really improved their footwork/hand use/timing/hairstyle. Everyone's new teammate is a great fit in the locker room and an All-Pro in the making. Everyone's old teammate looks stronger/faster/more mature than they ever have.
It means nothing.
Am I the only one around here not really worried about Romo's back?
