I just haven't checked in for your response. Tebow carried a team closer to s Super Bowl than Romo. At least he wouldn't cost the team so much.

And is in no demand now. Hmmm

Didn't read the thread but what I am going to say has probably been said here a few times already. Witten said the exact same thing before camp last year....Romo is throwing with zip.

We will see how this plays out, especially on the longer throws but I like his confidence! :)

Witten isn't going to say otherwise but it's still better than hearing otherwise.

They're boys. Does anyone here actually expect to hear anything else from Romo's bff? This is really great news but I will be most comfortable when I see it in a preseason game and actually see him get up with a smile after taking his first real hit.

That would definitely let us know he's in 1 piece.

It would be even nicer to see him have all kinds of time in that pocket and also handing that ball off closer to 10 more times a game though.

so what is the point about covered receivers? None.

Throwing to uncovered receivers doesn't require zip nor accuracy. It's also stress-free and can easily be done in a relaxed physical state. It makes a significant difference in that environment.

The uncertainty is going to be there until he takes his first big hit. Then everyone will begin to breathe a little bit. I liken it to Peyton Manning's neck after two surgeries.

I would certainly agree with that assessment, although I'd add the wear and tear of the long season will surely test him as well.

Throwing it with the same Tony Romo level of zip isn't a high standard.

You appear to have zero clue how stupid your post is. Any other QB??

Anybody rather than Romo. It doesn't matter. I would take a chance with any decent QB prospect in the draft. As I stated, even Tebow has sniffed the Super Bowl and he can't pass, but he does know how to lead without choking. Let's give this a couple more wasted years and you are really gonna look smart. As usual, your so-called open mind is blinding you to reality. Let the team waste some more time with the clown.

You moved the goal posts. Any QB is much different than any decent QB prospect in the draft. You're entitled to your opinion but even that is ridiculous. To think any rookie QB is better than Romo is absurd. Someone like Bortles or Carr might take a really good team and win with it while Romo struggles with a team with a historically bad defense. But that's another conversation.

TBH, I think you don't really believe much of what you say particular about Romo, Garrett and Jones although I admit you may.

If the vast majority of your posts are negative perhaps you should take a break from the Cowboys or even find a team with a better QB, HC, GM and owner to root for. It's tedious for many fans to read post after post of negativity repeating the same mantra as well as boring as hell to hear it multiple times in a thread. It's annoying in the least when its also in thread after thread. It may even appear to some as if one were seeking attention or even perhaps mucking up threads. Just saying what some may perceive with a little unsolicited advice thrown in as well; one member to another.

Your credibility, if we already weren't sure:

I performed a Google search, using the following combination of keywords: "zip Romo Witten" and "velocity Romo Witten". The number of keywords were limited to generate the greatest number of possible search matches. Additionally, the search date range was set at January 1, 2013 through July 31, 2013. The date range requested would encompass all matches from the beginning of 2013 to beyond the start of last July's training camp. The range isolated search results for archived web pages categorized by Google during that specific timeframe.

Each search produced many results. To be honest, I only researched the first five pages of results for each search. All the webpages had 2013 creation or updated dates listed in the body text, indicating Google did its job well. All the webpages had either embedded stories or links to stories, which contained Witten commenting that Romo was throwing with zip.

However, all of the embedded stories or linked stories referenced Witten's April 2014 comments. Not surprising, since internet sites often contain previously created webpages which automatically update for current content.

I have not done a correct internet search for Witten's 2013 comments. Could you provide a story or video link which references Witten making those comments last year?

[EDIT]

The following links performed my Google searches:

Just a little advice, from one member to another, ignore my posts. Don't respond. I'm sure you will appreciate my advice as much as I appreciate yours.

No he didn't. I'd like you to find where Witten made an assessment about Romo's progress last year. Romo didn't participate in the offseason until training camp.

Ijs..We all know Witten and Romo are friends, but the only person who commented on his progress last year was Jerry and that was to say Romo was running in the mountains.

I am unable to ignore any member or I would take your advice. Let those with ears hear.
