Dallas Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar (25) breaks away from the the Oakland Raiders defense for a big third quarter run at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Thursday, November 28, 2013. (Tom Fox/The Dallas Morning News)
The good news is that Dunbar has returned to working out at Valley Ranch and says he feels completely healed.
“I’ve been up there since the end of last season, working out, trying to get healthy,” Dunbar told All22Breakdown.com’s Jordan Ross on Monday. “It feels great to get back to work with my teammates, though, and seeing their faces. It’s been a while, everyone’s been doing their own thing. Now we’re all getting back in the right frame of mind. We all have one goal and that really starts today.”
Dunbar was referring to the voluntary workout program that started Monday at the practice facility.
“I’d say that I’m at 100 percent,” Dunbar said. “I’ve been able to do everything now for a couple of weeks without any restrictions. I’m feeling pretty good. I’d definitely say I’m 100 percent.”

I think he will help provide a good 1 - 2 punch from the RB postion but like so many others he has to be able to stay on the field. This team does not look all that bad if you can keep guys on the field and out of the trainers room.
It didn't last season, anyway. I have a hard time getting around the state of our DL here. I know, the draft will change that, but until it does, it looks to me like we've got quite a hodgepodge in terms of our starting 11 defensively.
Granted DL is an issue but losing Lee and Hollman hurt as well as losing Claiborne on and off through out the season. No doubt DL help is needed and while Mincey and McClain are not star players they are guys who have been in the league not sitting on the couch waiting for a phone call during the season and that is where we were last season.
Our LB corps was a mess by the end of last season, and that took a lot of our defensive talent off the field, no doubt. And losing the third press CB was a legitimate headache, too.
If we can get into a position where DL is the BPA for two of our top three picks in the draft, I'd feel better. With Crawford and Bass back, we improve one DE position and one rotational position. That helps. Getting Spencer back and able to play would make me feel a lot better, overall, but that looks like a long shot from where I'm sitting right now. And I still don't like our second Safety (though I like both Wilcox and Johnson as prospects).
I'm sure I'll feel better about it after the draft. But that giant hole at rush end, with really limited DE talent in this draft class, has me spooked.
Congrats on getting a big name mention in the DMN, Jordan (if you're reading this.). Got an interview that a newspaper is quoting - guess @Galian Beast was wrong about your interview skills.
I just do not see how an undersized injury prone RB is something that you can count on.
Funny how quickly someone can get labeled as injury prone nowadays.
There have been players who were hurt a lot their first 2 seasons but afterwards shook off the injury prone label. Here's to hoping Dunbar, Claiborne, and Lee all can do thatQuickly? He was hurt in both of his seasons in the NFL and I believe it was an issue in college. He is an undersized guy playing the most physically deteriorating position in pro sports.
