He's been a rare bright spot this season. He and B. Jones are defensive pieces to build around. Hopefully Gregory will make a 2nd year jump like Tank did this year.

We have some dead weight to shed in the offseason, notably in the secondary.

Def agree - with DLaw improving, Gregory (hopefully) making a 2nd year jump, and Crawford we have some pieces to work with.

Our front 7 as a whole has some young talent that will develop. Yet outside of Oscan and Jones, the secondary needs to be addressed bigtime. I am very down with Ramsey or Hargreaves at our 1st round pick if they grade out as the early boards have them. Claiborne pick set back this defense's build-up almost singlehandedly. Could have been Keuchly, Poe, or Fletcher Cox for a cheaper price. Yikes.

I think this defense has some fantastic young talent in Byron Jones (who has looked fantastic this season as a rookie), Gregory, and Lawrence. Lee and Scandrick are obviously excellent players, and I think Hitchens has developed into solid, if unspectacular, player. I really think that if we can add some DT talent, maybe a FA and a top 3-round pick, and a safety (preferably 2 depending what they do with B Jones), this defense could be very good next year or the year after. We could also use another CB, but I think the order of importance goes DT, Safety, then CB.

I can't believe has disappointing Crawford has been this season. He seemed to come on strong near the end of last year, and has been almost invisible this year.

Jeez, that hurts to read. Imagine Keuchly and Lee on the field at the same time.

All the IE'ers had him addressed to bustville a month ago.

This was his first training camp and preseason. I'd say so far, so good.

Could there be more proof of how fickle fans can be? Just a week or two ago there were threads blasting Lawrence. Now people are actually defending him. Welcome to the party, I hope your seats didn't get cold. All the beer is gone. I drank it while watching a bunch of clueless idiots talk out of their sphincters.

He's awnsered the questions as to whether he can be a good pass rusher in the NFL. Now he moves up to the next question.

Can he be a dominant pass rusher in the NFL?

and he needs to hold up better when teams run at him. Overall very solid year 2 player. Needs to keep grinding and improving.

Anybody wonder if he'd have more sacks if he still played RDE?
