"The battles between Martin and Tyrone Crawford have been fantastic. Both go so hard that I'm kind of surprised they're able to avoid getting into a fight. Both just stop when the whistle blows. Very impressive. Tyron vs. Hardy has been great too."

"Lawrence has really embraced that left end spot. Doug Free has had his hands full with 90."

Those are my favorite parts. Last year all we heard is that the O-line completely dominated the D-line. The O-line is still winning most of the battles, but they are battling which not only makes our defense MUCH better, but it will also make our O-line that much better.

Our O line is just getting better. Let that sink in. They will be better than best.

They have a lot of work to do when it comes to protecting the QB before they can be considered great right now let alone the best.

Tyron Smith signed to a long term, team friendly deal. Let that sink in. He's a beast and still not as good as he will be.

I have to pinch myself when I realize that the Cowboys have FINALLY discover what it takes to win in the NFL - dominance up front.

I've been a long-time advocate of building the offensive line and focusing on the meat and potatoes instead of sexy skilled positions.

I remember the days when other players would actually call us "soft" and had no bones about saying it publicly.

You won't hear that being said of the Cowboys now. :)

That's why I'm more encouraged about this upcoming season than any other in quite some times. We're building the RIGHT way, and you can see the confidence of this team growing.

if Claiborne turns it all around and becomes a playa we need to call the Vatican so they can officially declare it a "miracle",,, holy smokes, that would be awesome!

I realize that sports cliches are a dime a dozen but I love what I've been hearing from Mo these days such as when he says "I'm just out here trying to make the team." Hopefully, the workmanlike approach pays dividends.

How many times has a qb with potential to be an actual qb been used on STs?

Yeah, Showers is not big, or fast and does not have any moves. He's a pocket passing QB that is doing everything he can to make the team. Stanback was much more athletic imo. His HS coaches still think he has what it takes to be an NFL QB FYI.

I saw on one profile where he's 6-1-3/4, 230, runs a 4.6 forty and is considered "explosive." Not exactly sure what to believe here. The Cowboys feel he's possibly worthy of a spot on STs, so maybe we'll find out reasonably soon.

I think that 38" vertical jump and the 10'01" broad jump speaks well for his explosiveness. Maybe the ST units will suit him well. No doubt he'll get some testing in that area during TC and in the preseason games.

Those are some pretty impressive numbers! Being a fan of Showers and seeing most of his college games (and knowing his HS coach), he plays more like Chap Pennington than Michael Vick. Great news he is so undercover athletic.

Best of all that isn't going to change any time soon either.
