Sounds like an old injury they noticed on CT. Could be a cracked spinous or transverse process. Whatever it is doesn't sound acute nor does it sound like a big deal. If he can function great and if not next man up.

How is it they didn't call roughing on that or one other one he was crashed into. I've seen so many flags thrown for practically sneezing in the QB direction.

Nothing illegal about it. Romo ducked down and turned away and the guys knee caught Romo in the back.

IMO what matters is if he can play and not change how he plays. If he's playing gingerly, or favoring anything, it will have a negative influence or outcome. After he came back in during the last game he was playing in a way where it was not benefiting anyone for him to be in.

However, if he does not play in this game, it will prove most peoples opinion that he should not have been put back in against the Commanders. This could play a part in the decision making if it comes down to just a pain issue.

I can tell you as someone who has had 7 back surgeries and also a bruised kidney, I would take a herniated disc any day over a bruised kidney.

In OT, after the skins got their FG, we knew we could use all four downs to get a first down, until we got into Bailey's range. We knew we were not going to punt.

So I would have pulled the OLine aside, along with Murray and a fullback and told them, .. "fellas, we are going to run this thing right down their throats, play after play, .. four times if we have to until we get the first down."

"you will not have to back up to pass block, we will be plowing straight ahead play after play. You can maul the guy in front of you every down."

I don't think they could have stopped Murray from getting a first down/10 yards with four carries.

When we got 8 yards on our first down, .. I thought we might be doing that.

But then pass, pass, pass.

I think the OLine would have loved that, and would have taken great pride in running it down their throats.

I was so sure we were going to do exactly that. I was stunned when we didn't.

Oh well we can only hope lesson learned.

Tony has to be one of the toughest guys in the NFL. Just reading about all he's gone thru makes my body ache.

Only thing I haven't seen mentioned yet and thought that would be the region? Hope not, just throwing it against the wall type of thing.

Never think about that but the pelvic bone goes up pretty high back there. Not sure if it makes it that high to where he got hit.

You must be new to watching Cowboy games if you were expecting a roughing flag...............LOL..................Romo maybe gets 1 roughing flag per season

I still have no idea how Bobby Wagner can run full charge at the QB, ball gone, takes another 3 steps and burries his helmet into the sternum..................no flag...............LMAO

Based on the photo of the hit, I'm not so sure Romo didn't suffer a cracked tailbone.

X-rays were negative at the stadium, so that tells me there was nothing cracked or broken. If an X-ray showed a broken bone I don't think the medical staff would clear him to return to the game.

I bet next month's mortgage payment it was a kidney shot, a soft tissue injury to an organ would not show up on an X-ray so that explains him being cleared to reenter the game. Also, this could explain the CT scan the following day to make sure the kidney was just bruised and not lacerated or partially ruptured. There was also a report going around the internet that Romo had blood in his urine, that again is a dead giveaway that you have an injured kidney.

As others have said, a kidney shot is one of the most painful injuries you can have. I have seen UFC fighters literally vomit after a match from the pain of a kidney shot.

There are surely some Sherlock Holmes types there in the Dallas media & they will print what is really wrong with him.

Just bribe Jerry with something. He'll spill his guts.

No need to resort to bribes, just drink a few with him and tell him how great his football mind is and he will spill everything he knows or believes he knows. Or, if you really want to use bribe money, pay some hot chick and send her his way with a bottle and a list of questions.
