I have a gut feeling the Cowboys win this game. Of course, my gut feelings are worth less than nothing.

Former NFL head coach and current NFL analyst Tony Dungy joined the Dan Patrick Show and discussed the Cowboys. Here are some highlights.

On Cowboys-Saints
Tony Dungy: What's gonna happen is the New Orleans Saints offense is gonna put some pressure on you. They're gonna move the ball, they're gonna score some points. So you have to be patient. You've gotta stick with your gameplan and beat them the way your team is capable of winning ... and that is running Murray, keeping the score down, keeping the ball, forcing them to put eight in the box and then throw your one-on-ones to Dez Bryant. If they play that way, I think they can beat New Orleans. If they go in thinking we've got to outscore them, we've got to turn this thing loose, that's not the way they can win.

Looking at the stats of the Saints' losses to Atlanta and Cleveland is not a heavy reliance on the run.

ATL 23 carries 123yds
CLE 30 carries 122yds

But what the stats do reveal is an offense that spread the ball around

ATL 9 receivers; top 4 guys got 23 rec for 356yds.
CLE: 8 receivers; top 4 guys had 18 rec for 177yds.

TOP:
ATL: 31:18, NO: 30:25
NO: 31:50, CLE: 28:10

So controlling the clock, a good thing, but not entirely necessary.

DEFENSE makes the difference:
Turnovers:
vs ATL -1 (2 to 1)
vs CLE -2 (2 to 0)

This team will have to rely on the defense

I will be ecstatic if they could beat the Saints but I could easily see us getting beaten badly.

I expect a close game, but I don't think the Cowboy defense will hold up. Key will be pressure up the middle defensively - if Melton and company can provide that push, they have a shot.

Doesn't take a genius to figure this out. The true definition of insanity is passing!

That Sunday night studio host crew he's a part of is freaking unbearable, the worst ever...

He's the anti-Malignaggi: Hated him in the ring, great behind the mic.

We need to win in every aspect of the game. Murray's fumble streak needs to end and we need to hit their receivers on every play.

One thing about Brees he does get a lot of passes tipped, guy will have to get a push and get their hands up

That's some serious analysis right there. Seriously, is there anything in there that isn't a cliche?
