I think he will also. Don't think it will be a cap-busting deal, but it might be enough to make some folks on CZ cry.

As long as he doesn't use drugs this season and get caught or be found guilty of arson, I would cry tears of joy. It would be nice to see what he could do with a full offseason of work and with Lee penciled in right next to him.

If it's guaranteeing him any considerable money I might shed a tear, not a full cry mind you, but my eyes might tear a little...

I know some people here dont think very high of him (questions about his will to play thru injuries) but I JUST CANT HELP - I LOVE THIS KID !!!!

This guy brings a demeanor we were missing since Ken Norton Jr. left. And excatly THAT is what we are missing at defense.

Lee might be a great player but he lacks that intimidating factor. He lacks that nastiness. He lacks that attidude that says "if you want to win against me you have to sacrifice everything because i wont move away."

We had too many players who i call "always-says-the-right-things". Ware was one of them. Sunshine guy. But lacked the right attitude.

I hope we will keep him and i hope he will be the player for us i hope him to be. Else i won't eat crow. HA HA ;-)

Now that he's facing a four-game suspension, I say he'll be an easy one to re-sign. We'll rely on him, but we won't put all our eggs in one basket for him. I think we'll continue to beef up the linebacking corp. If McClain gets his head on right, it will simply be Jackpot City.

He's only being fined, not suspended. Granted he will then be one violation away from suspension, but at this moment, he's expected to be fined.

Well, that's good news. We can get him on the cheap AND get him for 16 games. :)

Doesn't take much for people to whine and cry at times....

I think he will be back also. Probably won't get much news on anything until next week. Except a few, for lack of a better way to put it, lower level signings.

Has there been any word on the substance he tested positive for?

Thanks Speedkilz! I wouldn't call that a deal breaker though he is one more failed test from missing 4 games. Could work out to get a cheaper 2-3 year incentive laden deal. The league needs to rid that substance from its banned list. In 20 years, edibles will be used to help athletes with pain/stress on a medicinal level.

And his house fire has already been ruled arson. If he's involved in that........?

Veteran minimum. Nothing more.

I'd love to have him back. Having Lee and McClain on the field at the same time is pretty exciting if you ask me. The positive test is gonna cost him some $$ in negotiations, but that makes him easier to sign and still have room to bring back Durant. With Hitchens, we have 4 starting quality LBers which gives us a little leeway (no pun initially intended) when one of em goes down with an injury. As I see it, someone is going to throw a bunch of cash at Carter... he will go the way of Kevin Burnett.

It would be a great duo if they can stay on the field. It's scary if they can't as we have seen.

A complete plus and asset for the Cowboys. I hope he is in a Dallas uniform and starting next season.
