The Cowboys will not annouce a new coach today or this week. Owner/general manager Jerry Jones just said a decision won't happen until after the Super Bowl.
Jones said he could interview more canidates but hasn't ruled any of the eight people he's spoken too.

I think it has more to do w/ Singletary's interview casting doubts whether Norv is the best man for the job, and it's only going to be a few more days till Jerry will have the chance to interview Rivera

I wouldn't go that far. I think Norv is still a very real candidate with a good shot. I think this does take Phillips, Gibbs, and the others before them out of the running. It could be that Norv wants to interview Rivera, as Mort is reporting, which could happen either Late Sunday Night or Monday Morning. I have heard reports that Both Jerry and Norv will be in Miami for the SB.

But who knows anymore??

This statement here lends proof to the idea that the media doesn't know what the heck they were talking about with the HC search. They said there would be no more interviews - in comes Singletary for an interview. The media said the interview process was complete, the announcement would come today, and Norv would be coach. Wrong again! I believe Jerry still wants to interview at least one candidate from one of the SB teams - probably Rivera.
