Jerry gave T.O. halftime pep talk
Jerry made a point to visit with T.O. in the locker room after he went catchless in the first half. Per Jerry, he gave T.O. a gentle slap upside the head and told him his plays would come.
Not sure how inspired T.O. was by the speech, but he sure came through in the second half. He caught two passes for 40 yards and a TD on the critical first drive of the half. His 22-yard TD halted all the momentum the Giants got by closing within a point after scoring 10 points in the final minute of the first half.
T.O. only had one other catch, but it was a huge one. His 47-yard TD stretched the lead to 38-22 early in the fourth quarter.
"Rather than dwell on what happened in the first half, he stepped out there and made those plays for us," Jerry said. "Of course, they were real difference makers, but what’s neat is to see him have a slow first and come back in the second."

Ellis could be back next week
OLB Greg Ellis told Calvin Watkins that he will try to practice Wednesday.
First-round pick Anthony Spencer was able to get some pressure on Eli Manning tonight, including a sack on a two-point conversion attempt. But this defense needs all the pressure players it can get. Wade Phillips has said he'll come up with ways to get Spencer, Ellis and DeMarcus Ware on the field together on obvious passing downs.
Ellis could also provide a big boost against the run, which is not Spencer's strength. The Giants averaged 5.6 yards per carry despite Brandon Jacobs leaving the game in the first half.

Garrett won't take foot off gas
The Cowboys could have taken Tim Cowlishaw's advice and gone conservative with their play-calling, especially while protecting a lead in the fourth quarter.
That's not Jason Garrett's style. Garrent went for the Giants' throats in the fourth quarter, and Tony Romo responded with two long touchdown passes.
Romo completed three of four passes for 123 yards in the quarter. The Cowboys didn't go into smashmouth, run-out-the-clock mode until right before the two-minute warning.
"You have to keep pushing throughout the game," Garrett said. "You have to stay aggressive. You have to demonstrate [that] not only to the defense, but to your own players. That’s what we’re going to do."

Reeves has head up high
CB Jacques Reeves know he wasn't perfect as Terence Newman's replacement, but he's proud of the way he played. So is the head coach.
Reeves had a key interception to set up a touchdown in the second quarter and battled with Plaxico Burress despite giving up six inches to him (if you believe Reeves is really 5-11).
"Jacques came in and played really well," Wade Phillips said. "He really turned the game around for us early. I thought he did some good things."
Reeves also had some rough moments, as did the entire secondary while Eli Manning passed for 312 yards and four TDs. One of Burress' three TD catches came in front of Reeves.
"You can't worry about it," Reeves said. "You just have to play the game. Play the ball, read the routes and break on it."

Guess he's over the Seattle Slip
Pretty sure Tony Romo answered any questions about whether he had recovered mentally from his unfortunate moment in Seattle.
Oh, he'll have to talk about the Seattle Slip again if the Cowboys make the playoffs. But you can make that if a when if Romo keeps playing anywhere close to as well as he did tonight.
Romo completed 15 of 24 passes for 345 yards and three TDs with one pick for a ridiculous QB rating of 128.5. He also rushed for a TD. He saved a Dallas defense that had a tough debut in the Phillips 3-4.
"I don’t want to go crazy here," Jerry said, "but it shows that you can make up for a lot of sins if you’ve got you some good quarterbacking."
