An incident in July could play a part in the outcome of the Cowboys' season opener in September against the Giants.
Giants defensive end Jason-Pierre Paul remains hospitalized after a fireworks accident on the Fourth of July. It charred several fingers and parts of both hands and there is a potential for nerve damage according to NJ.com.
On Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Pierre-Paul could miss training camp and the start of the season, but the team is still gathering more medical info.

Pierre-Paul wreak havoc in the Cowboys and Giants' first meeting last year, recording six tackles and two sacks in Dallas' 31-21 win, the Cowboys offensive line shut him down in the second meeting. Pierre-Paul netted just two tackles in a 31-28 Cowboys win.
