Green played like an UDFA.

Spears plays like a 4th rounder.

Let everyone else choose the LSU guys.

Lets see. Was Peterman from LSU? great player there.
Gotta lotta nerve saying Charles has a fumble problem when McFadden put it on the ground 15 times this season.

Peterman is starting in the NFL. And the Lions had a decent OL last year. I don't think he meant no one from LSU ever busts.

Hardy may be the most interesting wide receiver prospect on the draft board with his combination of size (6-5, 217) and speed (4.49 in the 40). He'll be bigger than every NFL cornerback and faster than most. He caught 16 touchdown passes last season and 36 in his career, so he walks in as an immediate impact player in the red zone. This game is about touchdowns -- and no one in the major college ranks brings that scoring potential to the NFL like Hardy. He's going to make an NFL team better the second he's drafted.

Well, reading that I would take him at #28 considering your 3 picks from the 2nd round anyway. If they can't get a veteran, they need to address a need for youth at receiver. 6'5" 217 and runs a 4.49 with 16 tds scored. I'd take my chances that he can play in this league.

I wouldn't mind him at 28. Or Sweed. But I'd prefer a RB unless they are either moving up in the second or down from 28 into the top of the second.

Huh? If Maryland was signed, it was like a minute before we picked him. In fact,
it was still a horse race between him and Rocket Ismail, who waited until the morning of the draft to announce his CFL signing.

Uhh, no they had him wrapped up.

McFadden is faster than Charles. In what universe ?

In ours. On the field and in the 40. Both they are both fast enough to run away from people.

I personally love Dixon -- of course, where I live, he was on every week, so I automatically think he's great. Just like folks on this board who are in love with Limas Sweed and Frank Okam.

I'd love for us to pick this guy in the fifth if he's still there.

How does anybody pay attention to what this guy says?

LSU players are locks at teh next level?

Tell the Cowboys that!

Where'd Peterman go to school?

How about Skyler Green?

Or 'Mr Average" Marcus Spears?

And when did Cason run a 4.58?!?!?

Not at the combine he didn't.

Maybe Goose hasn't gotten those numbers yet......

Let's add David Lefleur to that list. Hope it isn't a coincidence that he was the 22nd pick in the 1st round.

He is a poor route runner, and does not play as fast as his timed speed. Not to mention he has had issues with drops.

Not to mention despite the fact that he is 6'5", he only caught 79 of 144 passes thrown his way in 2007. That is NOT the type of percentage that you want out of a first round DP.

I haven't seen Hardy enough to evaluate his route running or hands but do agree he doesn't play as fast as his 40 speed. I have seen the poor stats on the % of balls thrown his way but in his defense some of that has to placed on his QB Kellen Lewis. He's kind of in the mold of Antwaan Randel El. A smaller (6-1 180) mobile QB that uses his athleticism to rush an avg of 11 times a game or scramble in the pocket and throw passes (often off-balanced or last resort) or jump balls toward his safety net. The 6' 5 1/2" ex-basketball player who has very good ability to gauge balls and use his height to his advantage.
