As the Cowboys' season winds down, let's take a look at some of the most poignant moments so far. Here are our 50 favorite action shots (including this one).

Beat writer Rainer Sabin answered questions in a chat Tuesday. Here are some highlights.

Question: What do you think happens in the secondary? Do the Cowboys cut Claiborne and Carr? That would make the ranks pretty thin.

Rainer Sabin: The Cowboys aren't cutting Morris Claiborne. He's still in his rookie contract. As for Carr, his future with the Cowboys is less certain. The Cowboys may ask him to take a pay cut before making a final decision.

Question: When do you expect a resolution (one way or the other) on the Dez Bryant/DeMarco Murray contract situations?

Rainer Sabin: Wish I could forecast that. It would help if I could. I really don't know. I tend to think if anything happens it will be shortly before the free agency period begins.

Question: What do you think the Cowboys starting linebackers will be next year? Lee comes back and Hitchens steps into a bigger role, right?

Rainer Sabin: I think depending on the free agents the Cowboys keep -- Rolando McClain, Justin Durant and Bruce Carter -- this could be the strength of the defense. Looks like a pretty solid linebacker corps on paper. I think the starters at this point could be Durant, McClain and Lee. Substitute Hitchens for either McClain or Durant if the Cowboys don't re-sign one of those two players.

Question: I understand why we might not be able to re-sign D. Murray, but it'll still seem weird. I mean, has any team in NFL history ever dumped a RB right after he has run for 1800+ yards?

Rainer Sabin: I can't recall that happening. Plus, Murray is entering his prime years.

Question: How much can we count on S. Lee to stay healthy this season? I mean, he has only managed to play in a pathetic 35% games over the past 3 seasons. With McClain able to play the middle and Hitchens the Will, should we think about dangling Lee at the draft before he injures himself again next season and his trade value tanks even more?

Rainer Sabin: I still think Sean Lee is a very effective player and one worth betting on -- not only because of his productivity but also because of his leadership. He's a good player to have around and he's particularly valuable when he's healthy. Of course, he's been hurt a lot. But it's worth seeing if he can stay on the field. The Cowboys have good backup options even if he can't play.

Question: Who are you picking to win the Super Bowl?

Rainer Sabin: I am picking Seattle. I like their defense and the way they play.

For RB? He's likely peaked and in the RB decline years.

And that debate can easily be ended by one question. (In general) Would you rather have a RBs first 4 years or their second 4 years?

That's not an easy question to answer by any means. Plenty of good backs in recent and not recent history have had productive seasons in years 4-8, many of them have their best seasons in that period. The average tenure for the top 10 backs in the league in 2014 was 5 seasons. That said, wasting a lot of cap space on any running back, regardless of age, is not wise.

But (in general) I take the first 4 years. I really don't think many would take the other 4. Better chance they have less injuries and of course the money is going to be less. Even Peterson, a back that has kept up a great pace had injury issues in his 5th season.
