[/SIZE] Roy Williams wants to know what his future holds immediately, so his agent, Jordan Woy, has asked the Dallas Cowboys to either cut or trade the strong safety by today.

The Cowboys have made Williams available for trade but the market has been slow, largely because teams believe the club will eventually release him. Williams is scheduled to count $6.6 million against the 2009 salary cap.

If the Cowboys trade or cut Williams, they will save roughly $2 million against the cap. His 2008 season was cut short by a twice-fractured right forearm that limited him to three games. He finished with nine tackles.

Jerry take your time. You've payed the man for his time and more. Take your time if it is best for the team. Roy should be trying to re-structure as opposed to asking Jerry to make a move. Roy, why don't you and your agent make a move and offer Jerry a smaller contract you complacent individual?

I'd hold onto you until June 1st cuts if need be. Ellis too. So shut ur pie hole and make yourself worth something in a trade or else get cut by the time teams have their rosters pretty much finalized and all the big money is no more. Work with us because you don't want us to work against you.

Umm, how many Sundays did we want Roy to act, and he failed to do so. So go sit down, and we'll call you when something happens.

 Pretty much. I say we trade him to Oakland for Michael Huff, another guy who hasn't done squat the last 2 years. Re-structured contract of course. Maybe Campo can resurrect this 25 year old from Texas. I'll take a flyer on this guy since who knows whats going to be available on draft day. Want some type of insurance at the safety position and Keith Davis and Pat Watkins isn't it.

Here's his college highlight vid. Gets to the ball and has good pursuit, good hands for picks. His problem is tackling technique if you ask me. The players in the NFL are to big and strong to tackle the way he does. Plus he came from a big college and then goes to a shlup franchise like the Raiders where the mentality was a joke. He needs a change of scenery and maybe being star struck can wake him up.

Agreed. I would say Roy we would not be here today if you had lived up to your contract in the first place.

We can resolve this now Roy if you agree to play for the Vet minimum?

Your going to become part of a package deal on draft day so sit down and shut up until then.

Used to love Roy and actually still do until I hear this garbage out of him. He's been treated like royalty here and this is how he wants to go out? He knows he's not worth his current contract and we never played hardball getting him a new one when he outplayed his rookie contract the first few years.

The guy has been milking it the last 3-4 years. He's got one of the least passionate work ethics on the team. Never in the film room. Rarely early to practice. Willing to critique schemes but never take responsibility for his oversights and strengthen his weakness'. This was my favorite player. He needs to work on re-structuring or shut his yap and be worth something in a trade if he's smart. Jerry can hold him all the way till June 1st and then cut him if he wants to be such a prick.

He would command more than the vet minimum even after June 1st. Not much more though. His guarantees can stay but his base needs to be cut right down to the minimum. He'd never do it though, regardless of how much he supposedly loves his local church and community.

Where's that guy we drafted 8th overall who wanted to become a Cowboy to make his daddy proud now? He's played like trash ever since Kelly Rowlen dumped his complacent butt. She doesn't miss him, why should we? Doesn't sound like he'd miss us right now. He's more worried about getting some FA pie and keep the rest of the guaranteed cheddar we still owe him for being a good franchise.

The main problem is Roy's salary.

I think he could have a nice role with the Cowboys, but not at that price.
I think several teams could use him and would trade for him, but not at that price.

Roy probably will force us to release him because he is unlikely to restructure his contract...he'd rather be cut and force JJ to pay him.

What kind of fans and people are some of you?

This is a guy that came out of college and practically begged the cowboys to draft him he wanted to be a cowboy so badly.
This guy has been voted to so many probowls. That means he was recognized by his peers, coaches and fans as the best in the league at what he does.

Roy Williams may no longer fit the mold of what we want as a safety. His skills may have declined. He may be better suited for a 4-3 defense. He may be better closer to the line of scrimmage.

But for what he has done and how he comes out and keeps saying that he wants to play for the cowboys means he deserves a little more respect than for you people to tell him to sit down and shut up.

You guys are worse than the eagles fans.

Brian Dawkins just left after 13 years for money. And at least they can wish him the best and say they enjoyed having him as the heart of their team.

Just because you dont want a player to be a part of the Cowboys any longer does not make it alright to show no class.

if Roy Williams would lose some weight after Parcells had him "bulk up" and get back to the type of player that was flying all over the field, we'd be in business.

When you've got a contract, making ridiculous demands almost never works. See Anquan Boldin.

He's the one telling us to make a move today. That guy you say is begging to be a Cowboy is begging to have a decision made on him today without offering a re-structured package to the team you say he is in love with.

The pro bowls and everything were very nice and I'd like to keep him but he hasn't live up to his contract for 3 years now. He constantly points the finger elsewhere and does not want to take responsibility and improve his weakness'. I listen to Ratliff today say how he'll do whatever the team wants him to and this is after he watched a lesser player (Canty) go out and sign for more than he is making.

Roy wants to take the rest of his guaranteed money and test FA because there are no big name SS out there and the money is ridiculous. He was talking about restructuring before all of this FA hoopla and now he's demanding action now? He has no leverage. You want action Roy? O.K, you're allowed to go seek a trade for a 2nd rounder.

I know we won't get it but there's your action. You want to kill your trade value, I'll kill your earning power you ungrateful prick. You want to make this all business and not personal fine, this is how NFL business is conducted. You're under contract and we own your right's to make a living in this league for the next 2 years. Work with us and we work with you. Work against us and you'll get the Terry Glenn reality.
