That I don't think sophomoric references to sexuality are very funny? Yes, that's accurate. Right up there with the dumb *** "Tony Homo" comments.

Do you want me to apologize after every joke? If it doesn't offend somebody it's probably not a joke. It's probably an observation that's not funny. It's gotta offend somebody somewhere. -- Jeff Ross

Saying you know everything you need to know about someone based on something they think is funny, is about the most self-righteous and arrogant thing you could possibly do. Funny how being judgmental of others is usually more indicative of the person doing the judging.

It's hilarious, I agree.

Cowboys sideline reporter Kristi Scales held a chat on Tuesday. Here are some highlights:

What's the nastiest thing you've ever seen on the sidelines during a game?

The "nastiest" would be injury-related. I'm assuming you're not talking about guys vomiting (happens sometimes) or guys going #1 in Gatorade cups (hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go). The worst injury was a preseason game against the Steelers at Texas Stadium in the preseason opener in 2000 which was my second year on the sideline. Their fourth string running back was coming straight towards the sideline. It wasn't a horse collar tackle, but his foot/ankle got rolled up. He had suffered a dislocated ankle. His body was flat on the turf, face down. But one of his feet...the toes were pointing towards the hole in the roof. His foot was pointed in the wrong direction. It looked like those Transformer toys where you move the pieces backwards and forwards. The running back's name was Destry Wright, I think.

How early do you get to game?

I travel on the team bus to the games. There are two sets of buses: early and late. I travel on the early bus gets us there about 3 1/2 hours before game time. The late bus leaves an hour later.

I know fans can be pretty ruthless when heckling players, but have you ever heard some really good zingers that you couldn't help but laugh at?

I don't get to hear too much of it because I'm wearing headphones so I can hear our radio broadcasts. But some voices are loud enough, for sure. I actually am more entertained by the handmade signs. My all-time favorite was in Philly one year...it was back when a certain movie starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal was popular. The handmade sign by the Eagles fan showed Romo & Witten with Cowboys hats... it said Brokeback Mountain and features those two players.

Worst injury i have ever witnessed was Napolean McCallums knee injury.

First game of the NFL season, he played as a RB for the Raiders. He was tackled in the backfield but not to the ground. Then Ken Norton Jr. turned him to the ground. The leg bend 90 degrees the other way.

He suffered a ruptured artery in his left knee, and tore three ligaments, tore the calf and hamstring from the bone, and suffered nerve damage in the knee. He initially thought he'd only face a lengthy rehab, but McCallum's surgeon told him that there was no chance of him ever being medically cleared to play again. The surgeon said that he normally didn't see leg injuries this severe except in car accidents. Had the surgery not gone as planned, there was a chance his left leg would have been amputated.

This injury made me think of quitting my football "career". It looked horrible.

Heres a video of it:

One of the best quotes I've heard-- "in America you don't have the right to not be offended".

My question is: What do they do with those gatorade cups after they're filled. Do they put them on the table with the rest of the gatorade cups? I need closure on this

As a safety precaution, I believe teams ban lemon-flavored Gatorade. ;) :D

I don't think it's judgmental at all. I think it gives you some insight into a person's thinking - what they hold dear, what they find valuable, etc.
That doesn't mean we can know EVERYTHING about a person, but you can know SOMETHING about them based on what they find funny.

For example, I don't find jokes about Christ or God funny. And that's because I take to heart the command "Thou shall not use the Lord's name in vain."
Does that make me more righteous than the next person? I'll let others determine that. But the fact I don't find them funny should tell you something about me.
