The story by the girlfriend was one of the more absurd ones that I've heard. He threw pillows at her, then hid in the closet but was gone when she called the police.

I need to find a rich chick and get her to beat me up. $$$$

throw pillows???
fuzzy may be rich and he only throws fuzzy pillows :lmao:

I like women. I don't take offense at being called one and while I understand why you think it's funny, I think it's sad. You need to up your banter game.

Anywho, she has no documented injuries and there are no witnesses. I understand that DA's like to win elections and turning away these cases is a good way to get women to vote against you but this case is a loser.

While Charles Manson isn't the biggest defensive lineman Dallas has ever picked up in post-draft free agency, we just couldn't pass up on that motor he has which drives him like a crazy train. He wants to terrorize the opposing offense. You just can't pass up on a guy like that. Even though he is in his seventies and in prison. We expect him to receive a furlough so he can make mini-cap.
Charles Manson?

The jury trail verdict is not relevant for the league to punish Lewis. Hardy's DV case was dismissed but the league still saw fit to suspend him.
But the situation surrounding Hardy's case didn't work to his favor, including reckless display of guns in his home, a lower court ruling against him (I know it was dismissed), the witness disappearing, the DA saying Hardy likely paid her off and Hardy agreeing to take the suspension.
We don't seem to have the same surrounding circumstances in Lewis' case.

The point is, the commish has set precedence that a conviction in a court of law is not needed for him to conduct his own investigation and base his decision to suspend solely on the outcome of that investigation.

They did their due diligence and felt good enough about Randy Gregory, so we should all take Jones' word as gold. Nothing to be concerned about.

I'm not even sure they did enough research on Gregory. I believe they were just in shock he was still there in the second like most of us were.

It was obviously a huge gamble but I remember seeing mocks showing Gregory going top 3 in that draft. Sometimes you roll the dice and you lose. If we can get a top 3 player at a position of need in the late second, I hope we have the guts to roll the dice again. Better than refusing to take any chances and passing on Randy Moss.
