DMN: T.O. expects 50 points per game

Some of you have asked what happened to T.O., since he's coming across as a model teammate these days. Well, rest assured that T.O. hasn't lost his swagger.

He said today that the Cowboys "definitely could have put up 50 or 60 points if we wanted to" against the Giants. He clarified that he doesn't consider the Giants cupcakes, but he has supreme confidence in this offense.

"I feel like we can put 50 up or 45 every week," T.O. said. "That's just the nature of this offense. ... The sky is the limit for this offense."

I dont think its blind at all. We could be the next team that scores the most points in a single season. TO is more right than just confident.

I think they feel they could be a REAL FORCE against opponents. Hey what is the alternative... feeling like you will be sitting on the sidelines "playing not to lose". I will take the former.

In 95 Emmitt and Mike did an interview talking about how it looked like they were fixing to sign Sanders ......

Mike - "It really does not matter if he signs or not .... it wont make a difference ..... we are going to win the Superbowl with or without him.

Emmitt - "he can come along for the ride if he wants"

Mike - "No one can stop us ...... you are looking at the Next Champs".


I remember thinking that it was gonna be locker room material for the entire league.

But it did not matter ..... if you are good then "locker room material" doesn't mean jack.

I have no problem with TO making comments like this I want the bar to be set high. I realize the odds of this happening are slim to none but I would rather players shoot to high than to settle for less.

If they up another couple of forty-burgers soon, I bet T Glenn decides to opt to play later this year, so he can get in on the action and try to go out on a championship note.

I think Glenn wants to come back as soon as he can but I hope he makes the right call for himself and his future after football.

Those were the days man. Gawd... That nucleus of players we had then and the confidence that exuded from the head coach on down was fantastic. I think Wade has a very subtle swagger in him too.

Exactly... AND.... Irvin was asked again AFTER the SB win... if they could have done it without Deion and he said... after a pause... Yes we could have.


Look.... we havent won anything in over 10 years... no playoff game, no nothing.... I dont care if they guarantee a victory EVERY week.

Its great that T.O. has finally found a QB that he has confidence in ! Confidence that he is now on a team with a QB who can finally get him the ball ! Maybe T.O. has been known as a cry baby or a trouble starter on his past teams, but then again maybe the whole reason he was griping was legitimate ? Get him the BALL !
