In a nutshell:

A) Wade sucks and has NO cajones with regard to disciplining players

B) Red might suck(good first season, bad second season) but can't do much with wimpy Wade around

C) Jerrah has no clue so we're stuck with this train wreck.

And round and round we go...................

Regarding the slant route discussion: I love the slant route when thrown and executed properly. But physical defenses in our division: NY, Philly, Wash and even outside our division: B-more, Pitt, AZ, aren't going to allow WRs to tippy toe off the line and run free over the middle. They jammed them, threw the timing off and meanwhile Romo was running for his life. Dispute away, but that's what happened.

Matt Mosley pens a column for ESPN that has this passage:

One of the things that has frustrated [Wade] Phillips to no end is the fact that he basically has no authority over offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. When Jones made Garrett the highest-paid assistant in the NFL, he unwittingly divided his coaching staff. I'm told by sources close to Phillips that he was bothered by the Terrell Owens-related drama in the locker room, but felt as if he had to let Garrett handle the situation.

I would respectfully disagree. From what I've been told, Garrett doesn't like the fact that Terrell Owens has created some of this locker room drama. But Garrett doesn't want to go over Phillips' head.

Garrett is a chain-of-command type of guy, so he expected Phillips to do some of the police work regarding any problems with the team. He is, after all, the head coach.

Phillips shouldn't expect Garrett to police the players. That's Phillips' job. That's why he's the head coach. When players get fined, (yeah it's only $100) it's Phillips who sets the fine totals, not Garrett.

If a player gets in trouble they go to Phillips, not Garrett. That's not because Garrett isn't capable of fining players, but it's Phillips' job.

If Phillips thought Garrett was supposed to police the players, especially the offensive ones, because the offensive coordinator gets a $3 million a year salary, then he needs an attitude readjustment.

Ah OK... So Tony Romo and Roy Williams calling out Jason Garrett is wade's fault as well... Don't forget to mention how many times Wade emphasized the running game over the course of the season, only to be willfully ignored by Garrett... Wade calling out the sputtering offense, when he took over the defense had to do with TO as well, not coaching... If it had nothing to do with caoching, then what was Dan Reeves doing here? Why did Dan Reeves even allude to the fact that the presence of TO impacted the running game positively, which is a flat-out damning piece of evidence against Garrett and those that argue that this offense suffers from TOs presence, because nobody else can benefit...

Watkins, we know your trying to defend all your past articles where you blamed Wade, but it doesn't work anymore... You and the rest of your cohorts are looking more and more like idiots everyday, with all the crap regarding Garrett coming around..

Uh, because the routes were vertical... Romo was running for his life in seven step drops... Slants are especialy effective against a blitz, which Jason Garrett, for his life couldn't defend against...
