Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (9) is happy after DeMarco Murray's go ahead touchdown in the fourth quarterf of a NFL football game game against the Oakland Raiders at AT&T Stadium on Thursday, November 28, 2013. Dallas won 31-24. (John F. Rhodes / Special Contributor)

Quarterback Tony Romo didn’t feel right when he went to bed Wednesday night. When he woke up the day of the game, he was sick and unable to keep down food.

Romo needed IVs to play on Thanksgiving Day. But he completed all 12 passes he threw in the second half. He finished with 23-of-32 for 225 yards and a touchdown to boost his career record at home to 16-1 in November.

I like ths guy...

So do I. I still remember the first pass he threw and what I said: Did you see how fast that release was? Fast release, good mechanics, great pocket awareness, elusive, accurate, and not only gets thru his reads but keeps his eyes downfield and makes plays. Combine Joe Montana's improvisation and head in the game, Tarketon's elusiveness, Marino's release, and unfortunately Favre's penchant for refusing to give up and throw the ball away and you get a Tony Romo.

BTW, my biggest criticism has been ball protection and this year we are #1 in the league at doing that. Without looking it up I think Tony has 7 INTs and 2-3 of those were catchable balls tipped by the receiver. Great job this year, Tony.

Most under-appreciated player in the game bar-none. What makes him even more special is his humility and that he appears to be naturally a nice guy. Nothing seems forced with him when he's on the camera.
