Bill Parcells lost a lot of respect from the players after Antonio Bryant whipped a jersey off his head and cussed him in front of the team.
BP for some inexplicable reason kept AB -then dealt him for a crash test dummy with no hands and now has his tattered repuatation to put back together.

I saw signs of that lack of respect greatly last season with the amount of undisciplined and unacceptable penalties we took - I still saw some of that this year as well.

You really wonder if the AB incident will be the thing that sinks BP's stay in BigD.
Another eye opener amongst players , fans and reporters was BP's treatment of tongue lashing of Julius Jones - when he questioned the man's toughness...after not being able to return after a Torn Rib Cage Muscle!!! The kid was obviously in tremendous pain but BP intimidated him back into the game - craziness. I've slighly torn a rib muscle...and let me tell you - it feels like someone is burning you with a lighter.

I'm not so sure these incidents have been buried - Only time will tell.

I agree. By jettisoning Bryant, I believe that Parcells strengthen his hold on the team, not weakened it.

No I paraphrased - he was on the Radio last year and said he talked to some of the players on the Boys and they said that made BP look bad by not cutting the malcontent.

IMO - penalties are a sign of poor practice - attention to detail and lack of fear of retribution for committing them.

A few wins will cure lots of what's ailed this team in the past.

I think BP made the right decision in dealing AB... at least we got something out of it, even though he didn't pan out. He isn't a doormat that will let players push him around. Good for AB that he made it to a team where he clicks with the coaching staff and is doing well, but I think I'll go out on a limb and say that I will trust Bill Parcells' character evaluation of a player he deals with every day, than that of some armchair football guru's on a message board who think they know everything. And good for him to push JJ to get back in the game. I have no problem with either thing and it's idiotic that people are still dwelling on the AB situation. There is a reason why Bill Parcells has super bowl rings and is the coach of an NFL franchise, and why we are here posting.

Parcells has not lost the respect of his players no matter how you, Badattitude, or the media wants to spin it. And I'm not sure what you saw exactly this past offseason and preseason that warrants any talk of lack of respect towards Parcells.

Any professional team athlete--NFL, NBA, etc.--should fear retribution after coming penalties. Offsides, false starts, stupid interference plays, etc., are not solely the fault of the coaching staff. The player who is actually committing the penalty bears equal or greater responsibility.

Penalties are a detriment to team success. The head coach is trying to play win-oriented football and he's not trying to lose. If a player is committing penalties and the head coach determines that these are penalties that the player could have avoided, the player should darn well be fearful of reprisal.

These so-called "incidents" are ancient history. Believing they carry any weight in the player's minds at this moment is absurd.

Predict away, dude. I can assure you any penalties accrued by the Cowboys in the Chargers game won't have a damn thing to do with the AB situation last year.

Whatever, this is last year's news. There has been abig turnover in the team since then and these guys are on a different page from the team last year. AB and Jersey Gate are ancient history on this team.

Ancient history is right. IMO, it has about as much relevance as Aikman vs Switzer or the Landry/Hogeboom/Danny White saga.

Excuse me Moderators ... what happened to my post?

I personally didn't think it was offensive by any means. No bad words used at all. Perhaps if it was the emoticon that was frowned upon, then perhaps that emoticon should be banned from the list.

Thank you. I'm sure that's why it has "mysteriously" disappeared. Personally, I found the original post offensive, but I'm just a girl poster with no authority :pc: . What do I know :shootme: .
