Do people that know you are a Cowboys' fan routinely bust your chops? I am in upstate NY and its a weird mixture of fans in this area. I would say:

40% Giants fans (until last year they held training camp here)
20% Jets fans
20% Bills fans
10% Patriots fans
10% a mixture of what I call the national teams: Dallas, Pittsburgh, Chicago, San Fran, Oakland, etc.

Anyway, so when I wear something that is Cowboys related, I really stand out and I get hammered.

As an example- In my travels today, my grandmother had asked me to pick up a turkey for her at the store. I had a Cowboys jacket on and as I am putting the turkey into my cart, some wise *** walks by and says...." the way the Raiders new QB played last game, that turkey might not taste so good on Thanksgiving for you"

Do you get busted on a lot for being a Dallas fan? And what state are you in?

I've lived in Virginia and upstate New York.

Commanders fans - they, obviously, dislike the Cowboys, but because northern Virginia is a very wealthy region, I think these Commanders fans by and large were simply more sophisticated - weren't crude, usually. Relatively polite. Washington, D.C. is probably one of the best rival cities for a Cowboys fan to be in. Many Commanders fans would simply ignore your Cowboys jersey; especially since there are so many Cowboys fans here anyway.

Eagles fans - I'm sure many of them are boorish, but most of the Eagles fans I've met were actually pretty nice.

Giants fans - I haven't encountered many, but these were usually by far the most annoying. Very irritating, jeering, mocking fans. Those two Super Bowl titles, alas, gave them immense arrogance; as if they weren't arrogant enough already.

Bills fans - they were usually too sad about their own team's failures that they didn't care about the Cowboys. I can't remember ever getting jeered by a Bills fan for being a Cowboys fan; it would be hard for a Bills fan to mock the Cowboys anyway, considering that their team is 0-4 in Super Bowls and lost two of them to the Cowboys.

Steelers fans - again one of the most irritating, especially since they can actually say their team has 6 Super Bowl rings vs. the Cowboys' 5 championships. The most irritating fans in the NFL are easily the Giants and Steelers', in my opinion, with the Saints' and Patriots' fans very irritating as well.

Good answer! It doesnt really impact me as a Dallas fan, but around here the JETS fans are very obnoxious.

I live in the heart of Philly and wear Cowboys apparel everywhere, so I obviously get a ton of trash talk coming my way on a regular basis. I've lived here for 15+ years, so I've gotten somewhat numb to it. It's pretty funny because some of my coworkers are Skins/Giants fans and we kind of stick together because of how ruthless Philly fans can be to fans of other NFCE teams.

Wow. Thats gotta be rough. Right in Philly. I lived for 10 years in Wildwood NJ. As you know, its Philly fans there- not NY/NJ fans. Luckily, this was from 1990-2000. So, we had some good years and Eagle fans couldnt say much. I'll tell you what I learned though....at least the Eagles' fans I encountered, and there were plenty, they were loud and loyal to their team....but every party they had, I was always invited and they treated me like gold. And this was all different groups of Eagles fans...not just one family or group of friends. I would always get an invite and they would always be disappointed if I didnt make it to a party.

Sorry Ducei...its late and I probably didnt word it correctly. My bad. I am gonna take a look at all (3) phases of my posting habits. 1) the thoughts. 2) the typing. 3) the proofreading.
I will get this cleaned up and move forward in hopes of stacking a few good posts on top of each other!

I live in Washington State. The funny part is I moved up here from Texas in about 95. At that time I'd say 40 percent of football fans here were 49 er fans. Now I'm surrounded by Seattle fans. They're the most annoying fans in football. Every time the Cowboys are up here and I go to the game they ruin my experience by yelling in my ear, they always try to fight... They love to hate on romo... And it gets really old. You'd think he slept with all their girlfriends. Every fan I've met from other teams pretty much agree they're the most annoying fan base.

I live in NC and my 2 best friends are Commanders and Giants fans. We were just young enough to miss growing up with the Panthers. But yes, no matter they may be doing everyone always laughs when the Cowboys fail.

I live in H Town so I was hearing it pretty bad the last two years from lots of folks. Now that the texans blow again I don't hear a drop out of those bandwagon texan fans. I'm not one to kick a man when he's down but it does get tempting to rub it in the nose of these once cocky texans fans.

I have always heard that people in the Carolinas are among the nicest, most polite people in the country...hopefully that is true and they go easy on you.

Very true. But hold off til we're better than .500 to rub it in. (It could happen within the next 7-8 years, so please be patient!)

When I lived in Ithaca it was mostly Jets and Pats fans. They are the absolute worst.

At home, its like 70% Bills fans, and they are almost as bad, though at this point, they've accepted being terrible lol

I like the steeler fans this year...they have pretty much been quiet in my area and it is amazing how they don't really talk much football at all since their team has been down.

No. The Falcons are horrid so there is nothing but a "wait till next year" vibe about them & I rarely see any Cowboys gear here in GA.
