My entire family. After every game, I probably wake up to 20 texts and the same number of E-mails (if not more), every time we lose. Heck, even when we win, I get traffic, just not as much.

There are a lot of Cowboys fans in Memphis. I wear a bunch of different Cowboys hats, t-shirts, and hoodies around town, and lots of people want to talk about the Cowboys - all friendly. I had three different people in one day ask me about Dez Bryant right after his sideline mischief.

I'm in Columbus, Ohio and yes everyone who is a football fan, casual or ortherwise, always has a comment. Most of the time its just a quick jab at how miserable it must be to be a cowboys fan or how they don't like Romo or how Dez has an attitude problem. I rarely meet other fans of NFC East teams though. My upstairs neighbor is an eagles fan though and he's one of the coolest classiest dudes I know.

One thing I run into a lot around here are casual fans. Rarely do I run into someone who is knowledgeable or informed as most of us on here are.

I live in Big D and STILL manage to catch H-E-Double hockey sticks for being a fan. From transplanted fans of other teams or casual bandwaggoners. I did get props the other day from another fan for wearing Cowboy gear the day after the 'Aints game. The lady that checked me out was like "WHO DAT?" and I said let me guess your a Saints fan. She said yeah and I said "Well, I guess somebody has to be."

I'm in Cleveland and basically any football fan of any team has some sort of remark they have to make. I have a Dallas calendar on the wall and that draws them in every time and then they notice my pic from the tour of Texas stadium and it goes all down hill from there.

The funny thing is they are mostly browns fans talking trash because they consider this year a success already and it's not even over yet. lol I don't think it ever matters how any of their teams are doing because if Dallas is bad they all feel like they need to take a shot at them. It's not to easy being a cowboys fan and really it hasn't been for years.

You all should see my facebook wall after a Cowboys loss. The haters all come out of the woodwork. And what is sad is I cannot refute them. Bringing up past glory only goes so far.

We have a friendly rivalry here in DC between locals (many family members or friends are one or the other) and there are so many Cowboys fans in DC that we tend to not get too much heat other than, "don't come in here wearing that..." kind of rift. Commanders fans are pretty average in terms of football knowledge unfotunately though many would assume otherwise. BTW I like how you categorized the Raiders, SF, NO, fans as "national fans" because you do see them just about everywhere with regularity.

Western NY. Majority of Bills fans, with a mix of Steelers and Giants fans. Of course there will always be the national teams like you said. There's many Cowboys fans here too. They don't bust my chops until I jokingly bust theirs first lol.

Do people that know you are a Cowboys' fan routinely bust your chops? I am in upstate NY and its a weird mixture of fans in this area. I would say:

40% Giants fans (until last year they held training camp here)
20% Jets fans
20% Bills fans
10% Patriots fans
10% a mixture of what I call the national teams: Dallas, Pittsburgh, Chicago, San Fran, Oakland, etc.

Anyway, so when I wear something that is Cowboys related, I really stand out and I get hammered.

As an example- In my travels today, my grandmother had asked me to pick up a turkey for her at the store. I had a Cowboys jacket on and as I am putting the turkey into my cart, some wise *** walks by and says...." the way the Raiders new QB played last game, that turkey might not taste so good on Thanksgiving for you"

Do you get busted on a lot for being a Dallas fan? And what state are you in?

I think we are both in the same part of upstate NY and I think I'd have to disagree about the percentage of Cowboys fans. There are quite a few of them here but I noticed that most are shy at times.

I went out to watch the Cowboys vs Giants opening in 2012 and upon going into the bar, it seemed as if it was flooded with all Giants fans with the exception of myself, my friends, and one guy and his gf. As the game started and began to progress and I started to display my energy, people started to open up to expressing their Cowboy fandom as well and shortly after, we all realized that half the bar was Cowboys and the other half was Giants. Same thing happened at my barbershop after my barber said "(Insert my name), you are the only Cowboys fan in here." People slowly proceeded to state they were a Cowboys fan, very timidely though. Only one guy was bold enough to hold up his iphone case which was a Cowboys helmet.

But I think Cowboys fans outside of Dallas are sometimes nervous, believing there aren't too many of *them* in the city in which they reside, and once they realize they aren't alone, they are able to display their emotion and fandom. Man, I had that bar live that night, it was great. We thought it was the beginning of a great season. Of course we know how that turned up.

But to answer your original question, of course! But that's what makes being a Cowboys fan fun. Its either 'you are a cowboys fan' or you 'hate the cowboys.' Even people that don't necessarily have a favorite team will still find a way to hate us. This is why I YEARN for us to return to dominance just to see people's reactions.

No matter what though, you are always an attention grabber, whether its in a positive way (other Cowboys fans) or a negative way (everyone else).

Interestingly I live in the city, sport my cowboys hat heading to the gym or whatever and I can't remember anyone saying a thing, other than a fellow fan here or there. Only like the meathead sports fans wearing oversized football jersey on sundays - maybe. Head to NJ and a different story - just think people aren't too bothered here.

I'm going to the game Saturday so we'll see if I come back in one piece - damn I hope we win!

Right now, many Cowboys fans have the worst of both worlds: They get the hatred from other fans as if the Cowboys are a winning team, but have the misery of rooting for a team that actually isn't very successful on the football field.

I live here in California so people here are 49ers fans and such. People don't bust my chop unless the NFL comes up as a subject.
