Do we have cowards on this team?

Too many time have I watched a game and not one Cowboy talk shiat(excuse the lang.). It happened again Sunday. Big game, but nobody will to step up and make a play. I saw Marcus Washington level Witten and didn't see one Cowboy run over there to beat his azz. Thats why I ask the question. Do we have a team full of cowards.

I remember guys like Gogan, Haley, Irvin, Deion take it to there guy. You know, mean SOBs. They would just enforce their will on the other players. That attitude gave others not so forceful to come out of that shell and play all out. Its like the goons in hockey. You have to have that one guy thats willing to fight the other team at moments notice, to tell the other team, we're not having that stuff today.

Where was Roy when we needed that hit? Or, hell I can't even think of anyone else that would do it or there rep is supposed to be a tough guy. Where the hell was LA when Witten got laid out? I don't care if it took a 15 yard penalty, just someone set the tone.

We are a very soft team, especially in the trenches! I guess I'm more disappointed because we haven't shown any fight in our big games. I mean fight, not competitive spirit. Actually going up to our opponents face and saying "#&$%* you"!

I understand what you mean, but Deion wasn't a tough guy, rather a guy who thought he was tough. Either way I get your point......very good one too.

BTW I was watching the embarrasment of a game with my Brother in law who is a Deadskins fan. When they threw the flag on the Witten play, he couldn't figure out how it was an illegal hit. We tried to explain it and he said "well why did they blow the whistle". Classic Commander fan who knows nothing about football, except the final score.

You mean the kind of fight that Shaun Rodgers (Big Baby) showed last week against Green Bay, when he threw Samkon Gado to the ground 5 feet out of bounds? You mean being an undisciplined football player? That wont help this team. They have problems beyond lacking fight.

No the kind of fight we showed mixing it up with the Eagles on MNF, show some enthusiasm. You're playing to get into the playoffs, "oh well, go ahead beat us up after the whistle"

Exactly that type of fight. You know the type thats says your not going to abuse my teammate. No idiot, the type that every Cowboys on that sideline should have ran over to Marcus Washington and drew an offsetting penalty for the cheap shot. Or one that power drove Brunnel in the ground on another drive to get even. Show some life, any life, but don't get straight out punked on your sideline though.

P.S- Sorry about the idiot remark.

I disagree with you on the Deion take, He wasn't known for filling the run. Although, he did manhandle receivers except for Irvin. He took every ounce of Left Eyes boyfriend on the field. He threw punches and still didn't get thrown out. Thats the fight I want to see.

I thought Dan Campbell was that type of guy when he first got to Dallas but he seemed to have mellowed out. Not sure what has happened with him. I hardly notice him anymore, other than the catch last week.

This team needs an attitude adjustment in the off-season. I hope the Cowboys can not only find talented players ,but ones who play with attitude as well.

My main disappointment with Ware is his lack of attitude where as Merriman plays with a ton of attitude. Not saying who will be a better player, but it's nice to see a young player trying to intimidate instead of just feeling his way around.

Exactly, I can't understand why LA didn't slap the mess out of Washington after the hit on Witten. IT WAS ON OUR SIDELINE and I didn't see one Cowboy take offense to the hit.

I love Deion... but you aren't talking about that sissy slap-fight between Deion and Rison are you?

If the late hit wasn't enough, you'd think the examination of Witten for a concussion would've fired someone up....

Screaming at Cundiff because MeShawn just dropped a pass was about the weakest damn thing I've ever seen. Why didn't he scream at some offensive lineman?

Look, I'm not touting my my own horn, but the worst guys to have on your team are the ones that will fight anybody on your team, but won't fight anyone on the other team. Hes a tough guy in practice intimidating the other team players, but won't stand up for himself when he gettings slapped by other team. If your tough guy gets slapped and won't fight back, then what are they going to do to me, syndrome?

MeShawn yelling at Cundiff, but not threating Washington as if Witten were his ex-girlfriend, doesn't impress me at all.
