Parsons is now a DE maybe 50%.
    Gregory is back.
DE Speaks is on the PS.
Armstrong is decent at DE in place of Lawrence.
Basham can fill in on occasion.
Kamara and Anae have speed on the edge.

I would shy away from any deals right now for a DE.

More worried about Brown being targeted at CB despite the issues along the DL.

Trades rarely happen in the NFL. Steele played great vs one of the best pass rushers in Football. I think they are fine at WR. Gregory back helps a ton. Parsons can play nearly anywhere and help. I was watching him run and I said put him at S and tell him to just blast WRs. It would work. Personally I think Gallimore is the biggest loss. They are getting nothing from DT. Trade is not going to happen they just need to make due for a few weeks. It’s the NFL, everyone is hurt.

Good trades in the NFL are much more difficult to do unless you plan to give up too much. Since the cap was instituted, trades in the NFL have become more rare and certainly more costly.

I see many fans throwing trade ideas out that won’t work for one of several reasons:
    • We as fans tend to way overvalue our talent and how other teams would value it.
    • Other teams are not very interested in parting ways with a player of value- Especially a pass rushing DE, which is one of the hardest positions to find talent in the NFL.
    • The cost of a proposed trade for a player of REAL value is very high. Like premium draft picks as in 1st or 2nd round picks.

I think we need to be patient. DE is actually gonna be fine. Where we are soft STILL is d tackle, but I think we can hold up until we get Gallimore back and Hill. Its 2 games in. Lets see what happens after 2 more games before we panic. At cb, we still have Canady He is good. We have some pieces. Its just a matter of finding the right combo and letting the youngins get reps. Its a long season.

^the last sentence. Exactly. Which is why we need 2 hold the line and let things play out. Let the kids get reps. They been getting better. Trading 4 hired mercenaries mid season usually has minimal affect. Be patient fella's. We will be fine.

I think we can tread water. If I am making a trade, I am bringing in another good DT or CB if I can. Even with Gallimore, I still think we are mediocre at DT.

And if the young guys aren't ready, then you need to bring in a CB because Brown ain't cutting it.

In all likelihood, given trades aren't all that common, they won't do anything.

Too early to make trades, even if they could do one.

Not gonna happen, but the GM should explore a trade for CB Stephen Gilmore from the Patriots. He is on IR, and not happy in NE and may be worth a 3rd that could move into a conditional 2nd. Having Gilmore and Diggs in the backfield would help the pass rush......again its a dream scenario

any deal you make requires giving up something of real value to get something in return of real value. So for me no I stay put for now. Gregory is back and with Parson, Armstrong, Anae, Basham and Golston I think Cowboys can hold down the DE position until Lawrence returns.

Usually takes a while for new players to gel with the rest of the team. At some point you have to quit churning the roster (in a given season) and put the same team (as much as possible) on the field every game. Why are the Bucs so good? They returned every starter from last year. And still Dallas nearly beat them. Would they be as good if they had let go some of the middling talented starters and put in new players? Don't think so.

No team is full of Pro Bowlers at every position, nice goal but it isn't happening....

I think your first bullet points should read “Our FO tend some to way overvalue our talent “

.......most of the fans aren’t as delusional.....but clearly there are some
