Do we need to start thinking about Zeke's work load?

Yeah, I saw him get pretty worn down during the Eagles game. It's not if he "can" take it. He did and he did great even being very fatigued. I just think it'll be useful to start utilizing Alf more when we're up 10 or more.

You can keep saying this but it doesn't make it true.

This is poetic justice. Before last week you were the guy harping about how great the play calling was and how Linehan suddenly learned to coach and call plays after 20 years as a professional.

I simply reminded you that players were simply executing like we were the last time Linehan suddenly learned to call plays in 2014 (he forgot in 2015 magically). You weren't having it. You hemmed and hawed and ranted and raved and said Scott was different! You were sure of it!

Then last week when players stopped executing (hint: Dak had accuracy and decision making problems) suddenly play calling was dog manure. Funny how that works.

You sir simply don't know what you're talking about. You're either incapable, haven't studied enough, are suffering from a serious case of confirmation bias or more likely all of the above.

Play calling was not the problem Sunday. Execution was. More specifically Dak's lack of execution .

Deal with reality.

I agree. The playbook was pretty wide open. The only thing that didn't happen was throws in the deep middle (good move, being the Eagles were blitzing alot.) I was more than happy with the playcalling. It was just a tough game. Sometimes you're gonna have wins that don't have as much finesse.

We're halfway through the season and it looks like Dallas is going to be in it for the long haul so do you think we should start giving Morris a few more touches? Especially against the scrub teams like Cleveland left on our schedule?

At some point i'd imagine he will hit a wall. He's never had to push himself for this long and the grind of the NFL is bound to catch up with him a little at some point.

I want Zeke ready to go in January. Anyone else slightly concerned?
Naw.
I proposed early on we spell him often with our other bruiser, Morris, but the consensus was run him till the wheels come off.
Of course, those geniuses do not play a 16-game season and watch the game from their recliners.
You gotta be smart with Zeke. Play him but also rest him. And get our money's worth with the gifted Morris.
Good thread, and sorry your Wench lost against us, bloke.

No. Every snap he plays increases our chances of winning. That's what I've learned about this team.

By the time he's 27 he'll be worn down a little. Right now, we need this man to get carries and split the league wide open.

I believe there are strategic times to use morris to spell him and keep the wear and tear down. Short yardage plays are prime example, 2nd and short 3rd and short Morris can get those dirty yards and maybe more. I am not saying whole series but as the game develops there are times where morris can alleviate some of the pounding whether blocking or running.

I don't think his load is too much. I think we should have ran him more versus the Eagles, especially in the red zone.

Normally I'd say yes..rest him.

But this team seems inspired by his play..

So not sure you change the chemistry..

I think giving him more passes helps him because he isn'the getting as many hit like the line play does.

I don't think he will be running like DeMarco Murray.
