Wat do u guys think?? with the secondary we got now..n watching our team over the past few years....wat do u think our corners n safties are better at?

id pick Man Coverage....Newman is lock down when stickin man to man..Henry is also pretty good in man

i hope we start running a lil more bit of the same defense we ran in 2003...were we kept Roy in the box(blitzed him most of the time) man on the outside and 1 safty deep..and 1 or 2 linebackers blitzing....hmm but that was when we ran 4-3...anyways wat u guys think?

A mix of both.

Our corner can play man, but our safeties (Williams) and linebackers are better at zone.

Of course Watkins coverage ability will surely be tested this year when he plays.

I don't think we know the answer to this question yet. Much will depend on how our front 7 generates pressure.

Newman and Glenn are better suited for man to man because they are smaller and not great tacklers and usually you want better tacklers if you play a lot of zone. On the flip side, Henry is better off in zone coverage.

To their credit, all of the CB's seem to play both pretty well mainly because Newman and Glenn are so quick and knowledgeable that they have little issues in zone and Henry seems to be a guy that guards against the deep ball. He tends to "guess" a little too much for my tastes on short passes, but he's pretty crafty out there.

I think Dallas can do both, myself I like man coverage over zone if you have the CB to do it and I think Dallas has the people that can handle it.

I think that at this point, the zone protects against short to intermediate routes from backs/crossing routes/TE's. Until our linebackers become outstanding man on man cover guys, this helps.

Also, when running certain types of blitzes, it can set us up for interceptions on quick throws.
