Do Ya'll think this team would be better off if Bill Parcells was still Head Coach?

I don't know if we would be better off with Parcells. I think we'd be better of with Parcells' system.

Parcells, the older version, didn't have what it took to win these players or reach these players.

Parcells, the younger version, would have had this team in the Super Bowl last year. Heck, maybe even Tony Sparano has this team 12-1.

This team doesn't have the discipline that the Miami squad has. And it doesn't play team ball like Miami does. It also has lesser talent than Dallas. So you know the Parcells system works.

I wish we had a coach like Parcells grooming Romo, though.

Romo is an immense talent, but he needs to be handled and protected with a running game. Garrett and Wade have let Romo take over, and I think that may be detrimental to his development.

Like I said earlier, Chad Pennington is hugely underrated. Yes-he has a puney arm, but he's smart, he takes what the defense gives him, and he doesn't try too hard. He deserves alot of credit too for the Fins success.

Why Jets fans wanted to run him out of town is mystifying. *shrugs* I guess when your team is always playing lousy, someone has to take the blame, but he was the wrong guy to point fingers at.

We need more discipline and accountability on this team for sure. And frankly I do NOT seeing it come from Wade at ANY TIME.

Would we be better off with Parcells as coach? No. Parcells helped get the organization some respectability back but that is all. His talent evaluation skills landed us some good players, but also some bad ones.

I much prefer Wade. I don't care what anyone says, Parcells is a quitter, and his team played scared because of his antics.

Someone posted this on the DallasCowboys.com Messageboard when after I posted this Thread:

After reading this, I gotta admit Parcells was more awful than I remember!

I'm tired of people in the National media (Mainly Just Colin Cowherd) Giving Parcells all the credit for Reviving this team.

Man, that list is depressing!!

This is a good question and I want everyone's opinion, Do Ya'll think this team would be better off if Bill Parcells was still Head Coach?

And this also includes all the coaches and scouting Department people who left for Miami would still be part of the Cowboys.

In my opinion, this team would be much better off and we wouldn't be dealing with all the B.S. we've been dealing with the last couple of years.

What Do Y'all think?

Good question. I would like to see a more balanced attack which is what Bill brought to the table. But I didn't like the conservative "play not to lose" approach by keeping the game close and taking your chances in the 4th quarter.

Wade since he has taking over the defensive playcalls. I like his aggressive style of play but he can be a bone head at times.

It's sad. I felt like 2006 was Parcells best shot at making a run in the playoffs. But that conservative crap cost us. Yeah you Romo bashers can blame him for the fumble but IMO, that game should of never came down to a field goal. With the weapons we had and the depleted secondary the seahawks had. We should of steamrolled them and made a statement.

So my answer would be. I wish we would of had Wade and Garret in 2006. We might have made the superbowl and won that year.
