I think Wade's egoless enough to accept it, actually. Probably one of the few coaches in the league that would shrug his shoulders and agree.
But I think it's a bad idea. It reminds me of the situation we have with Garrett (making more than Wade, standing over his shoulders), only in the complete reverse almost. I think it sets a strange, potentially disruptive stage for the coaching staff. It begs for people's interests to clash, and for people to wonder if Wade secretly sabotaged [insert new head coach's name here] with certain decisions.
On paper, brilliant idea. Wade's one of the best defensive coordinators going, and if we did fire him, that's going to be damn hard to replace. It's one of the factors we have to consider if we did fire him. But in reality, I think it's a disaster waiting to happen and the drama of it all could negate the actual Xs and Os benefit.
