I think he'll break all of his 2007 numbers. We're not switching to a run first team. The "Romo friendly" term is accurate. This is a Romo friendly offense. He's allowed to throw it all over the place and he does.NextGenBoys;2864560 said:I dont know that he'll approach 2007 yards and TD's, but I could see his rating, completion percentage, rise and interceptions drop.
Yes, he is a franchise quarterback.Q_the_man;2864549 said:I still think he has it, this to me is a make a break year.

Like I said in my "camp observations" thread, this is based off a weekends' worth of training camp practices I've watched so take it with a grain of salt. But Romo was on fire all weekend.
The only thing I'm worried about on this team (outside of injuries) is the O-line. And that's because I have no idea how they'll perform. It could be a 2007 (great) or 2008 (terrible) repeat. You can't really gauge O-line much in training camp.NextGenBoys;2864566 said:I didnt think or want us to be a run first team. The short passing game can be used as a running game, and our Oline has never shown they can be trusted to be a smash mouth team. Our backs and TE's will be used extensively I'm assuming. You remember that guy, I think he played for the Chiefs. Green or something? Yeah.
If you saw camp live you have more insight than many of us on this board, and I'm glad to hear of Romo's "success." I've never been worried about our offense this offseason and hearing of Romo spreading it at will is good to hear.

He doesn't play as well against great defenses as he does against mediocre ones, and, unlike Roger and Troy, his statistics drop when he runs for his life a lot.
We'll definitely find out a lot of stuff we've seen for the last three years already about Romo this season. I'm giddy just thinking about how much we'll learn.
