80% of this Forum wanted Jeff Health off the field and almost every big play by the Lions today was on Darian Thompson.

Heath is below average and better as a backup, but you still have to be careful what you wish for. For all the posters saying "anyone but Heath", Thompson could easily have cost us the game against a better opponent.

    Heath ain't great.

    Ain't even good.

    But he's better than Thompson.

The coaches and front office failing to replace Heath for YEARS now, doesn’t make me miss him.

it just points to long standing failure and poor decision making.

especially considering we could have had a talented second round safety out there. Rather than useless hill sitting on the bench.

Heath. He's better than Darian Thompson.

    Hell of a bar.

I kinda lol'ed at Donovan Wilson today. After all the talk about how the coaching staff benched him because they were stupid, he goes out there for one play and gets dusted.

There are better guys playing Jeff Heath's position. Unfortunately, none of them are on the Cowboys roster.

Would you have given Earl Thomas more than 40 Million after two major injuries? Or traded a #1 for him?

Every move the fans have talked about for upgrading over Heath have been overpayments. This is Heath's last year starting, but that doesn't mean money-whipping FAs is a better answer.

    I miss
Minkah Fitzpatrick would not have been overpaying.

For a #1? Id rather have Amari Cooper than any safety in the NFL.

I’ve been asking for the front office to draft a safety with a premium pick (1-3 round) for years now.

they put nothing but 6th round picks, undrafted Free agents and scrubs back there and it shows.

As a organization they clearly don’t value the position and the results show.

Heath is our best Safety. By far. All of the Heath hating is being exposed right in front of our eyes as foolish talk.

On ST's, absolutely. As a starter, no. I miss Darren Woodson.

Not having Heath on special teams is just as big an issue.

Like others have said, Heath is not a great player, but he's a needed player.
